Eden was so excited about seeing Troy again that work dragged on forever. She rushed out of there the second she was allowed to clock out and hurriedly plugged in the address he had sent to her phone's GPS.
When she arrived in the parking lot, she double checked that she looked okay in the sun visor's mirror. She brushed out her hair that had been in a loose low ponytail all day and made sure her blue and white blouse wasn't wrinkled before going inside the restaurant.
He was already waiting for her when she arrived and waved so she would join him. There were only two other occupied tables in the restaurant so she would have been able to spot him anyway; one family of four and a man sitting alone, hunched over his phone so the baseball cap he wore hid most of his face.
"Hey! How's it going?" Eden greeted cheerfully.
"It's going," Troy said tiredly before smiling at her. "Long day. What about you? How was work?"
