"I'll stop sounding like Mom now," Ezra said repentantly. "I know you're in the wedding party and probably have things to do tomorrow morning but you'll at least save your brother a seat at the reception dinner, won't you?"
Eden rolled her eyes. "Duh. I'm not going to leave you to fend for yourself. I'll even dance with you if you ask me nicely."
He grinned at her. "I don't know if I want to go that far. You'd probably step on my feet."
"I'll have you know I'm an excellent dancer," she sniffed, grateful that the tension that had been permeating the car was now gone. Sometimes all it took was a subject change to get rid of awkwardness.
The rest of the ride back was pleasant and Ezra dropped her off at home before heading to his hotel. Eden spent the rest of the night texting Troy about the movie until she had to go to bed and get ready for the big day tomorrow.
