After everyone had eaten their lunch and chatted for a while to let the food settle, they began the trek back to the starting point where all of their cars were parked. It was good exercise but Eden was ready to lie down by the end of it.
Aubrey reminded her about their double date the following Friday night before they parted ways. They were originally planning on doing it on a Saturday before remembering that it was Easter weekend and that wouldn't work out since both of them had travel plans.
Eden had to drive down Saturday morning to spend the weekend with her family while Aubrey was driving to Merced to spend Easter with David's brother. They weren't married yet but they already had to switch off which holidays were spent with each person's family.
If she ever managed to find herself a husband, she would gladly forgo all her rights to do holidays with her family if it meant avoiding her mother's constant nagging. She would miss Ezra and Nadia though.
