Troy accepted the Twix wordlessly. It appeared that Eden had rendered him speechless. After what seemed like forever but was probably only thirty seconds, he responded.
"You don't need to apologize for that; all I was doing was dusting. It's not like it was that important. I have a lot of fun talking to you too. So text me. A lot. Any time after my shift is over or on my days off. I usually have my phone on me so text me. You can call me too! Just be sure to stay in touch, alright?"
She was stunned. He seemed almost too insistent. "…are you sure I wouldn't be a bother?"
"You? No way! You could never be a bother, Eden. I promise I would always be happy to hear from you. And thanks for the Twix. These are my favorite."
"I know, you told me before."
"Right…anyway we should get back before Marty catches us. You go back first while I stick these in my locker," Troy advised. "Thanks again. And don't forget to text me!"
