Troy hadn't thought about that before. He always figured he would be able to make music his full-time career but that probably wasn't practical after this much time passing without it happening.
Having a certification of some sort to be able to do a real job that wasn't part time so he could afford to move out might be in his best interest at this point. But what would he even do? He had never wanted to be anything but a musician.
"I'm an HVAC tech and it pays decently," Phil said helpfully. "I completed my certification program in six months and got an apprenticeship right away. My boss is always hiring; I could hook you up."
His workplace was open twenty-four hours a day in case of emergencies where air conditioners needed to be fixed right away but his schedule worked around the band's needs for the most part. His shift was 10:30 PM-6 AM Monday through Friday.
