Jonah sent good morning texts, good night texts, and all sorts of texts in between until Thursday night rolled around. Falling back into the old pattern of talking to Eden made him even more desperate to see her face again.
So when she answered the door at their agreed-upon time of 6:30 PM, he drank in the sight of her. She smiled sunnily as she greeted him and told him to come on in.
He pressed a quick kiss against her forehead as he passed her on the way inside but didn't dare do more than that yet. That should probably wait for when the moment seemed right so he didn't seem too overeager.
"The lasagna still needs about twenty minutes in the oven. Do you want to see Finley?" Eden asked cheerfully.
"Sure."
Jonah followed her into her room and noticed that there was a large corkboard photo collage on one wall and butterfly decals scattered across the others. She really liked butterflies, didn't she? He would have to remember that.
