Eden sighed and put down her paintbrush. "I'm trying to think about this as objectively as possible. I already know getting this guy out of my head isn't going to work based on past experience. Doesn't that old saying go 'if you can't beat em join em'?
"We did have a lot of fun together once and he was very supportive of my job hunt and all that stuff with my mom…I don't know if I'll ever find that again. This might be my only shot at romantic happiness."
Aubrey put her hands on her hips. "Eden McBride, you are twenty-three years old; stop acting like you're an old maid. Are you really prepared to go back to someone you know hurt you? What if he does it again?"
"How could he possibly do the same thing again? I doubt he's going to be impersonating anyone else," Eden said as she rolled her eyes.
