Chapter 2 - Back to School.

[Kendall High School.]

A flashy blue sedan entered the large school vicinities. A smartly dressed student in a uniform exits the car. She'd cut her hair into a neat Bob style. Her school t-shirt and skirt makes her look invincible and cool. She fumbles into her simple black bag and reveals a wrapped lollipop which she swiftly shoves into her mouth. The two students in the commons glance at her in a quagmire as she enters the main building.

Suddenly, her phone lights up and a long text emerges.

[Looks like we have a new student. who's she by the way? She looks cool even in the school uniform and a bit familiar. Maybe she's the next fashion stroller in Kendall.

Don't miss out everyone, more juicy news coming up!

"So, these bunch of peeps haven't yet noticed me?" she mumbled to herself, sucking on her lollipop.

She headed straight to the locker room and prepared for her morning lessons. As soon as she entered the classroom, all the students glanced at her, coolly heading to a seat at the back.

"So this was the seat of the previous body owner? Not bad. I can view anything from here," she mumbled to herself. The view below was so amazing that she felt comfortable at the seat.

She was still engulfed in her thoughts when a blonde and mean-looking girl approached her.

"Why have you sat in this horrible seat?" she asked while playing with her hair strands.

"I like it here, do you have a problem with it?" she raised an eyebrow, facing her confidently.

The girl suddenly gasped in shock as she called out, "Eufe! why are you in school?!"

Rolling her eyes at her, she ridiculed, "Where else should I be? were you hoping for something to happen?"

The other students craned their necks to look at the back only to see a pale-faced blondie. Murmurs of shock erupted as they looked at the new girl who seemed to be Eufe Marlin. Her new style, her cool attitude accentuated her beauty. She looked different and no longer the shy Eufe they knew.

Feeling the endless gazes from the class, she said, "Do I look like a ghost?"

Finally, a stern moustached man entered the room. Below his eyes lay a pair of thin-framed reading glasses and in his hands, he held a couple of textbooks and a black bag. He cast a single glance at the class, earning himself full attention. The class became so silent that a falling pin would be heard. His gaze and attitude shouted intimidation however, Eufe at back was neither scared nor intimidated from his gaze. After all in she'd been a CEO, a business mogul and she has met people like him and far more than his attitude.

Cale Saro was the man's name and he was among the most feared teachers in Kendall high. His motto had been 'better never than late' and defying this principle or motto of his was playing with death. The class went on for about two hours until the bell rang for a break. As soon as the bell rang, the stern teacher collected his stuff and left the room.

All the students sighed in relief for none wished to be in his bad books. All the students including Eufe exited the classroom for break time.

Eufe looked at her phone and saw several notifications on the screen. She read one by one but unfortunately, none of them captured her interest. Her eyes remained glued on the phone as she kept on grimacing when suddenly, she bumped into a hard body.

She let out a gasp, " Oww! Look where you're going."

She saw a couple of books and papers scattered on the floor which seemed to belong to him. She stretched her hands to pick them up when she stopped in mid-air. She saw a restraining hand on her wrist, preventing her from picking up the books.

Hardly had she bent to pick the paper ls when a cold deep voice sounded, "Don't. Touch."

A chill crawled down her spine from the icy voice. She felt the voice familiar as if she knew the owner from her past life. From the memories of the body's owner, there was no scenario with a man possessing that voice.

This voice sounded familiar and the person she regretted not confessing to. Indeed the saying the world is small was real. She immediately stood, straightened her uniform and left the spot in long strides not bothering to look behind. The guy seemed to be puzzled at the way she disappeared without saying anything.

Eufe sped off from the spot until she reached the washroom. She panted heavily while staring at her pale self in the mirror. She quickly washed her face to sober up.

'Maybe it's not him since I didn't look at him after the incident,' she mumbled to herself.

'Yes, definitely that's the thing,' she added but her trembling hands didn't seem to agree with her.

Later that evening, Eufe entered the car her parents had prepared for her earlier on. Clad in a black suit tall solemn driver sat behind the wheel. The two exchanged a few greetings before they began a silent journey back home. The silence wasn't that awkward as Eufe kept on perusing on her phone until she landed on a contact name written 'Xeph'

Xeph was Rayana's closest friend and they were so close that they would do anything for each other. She clicked on the contact and typed a few words before she sent them. She lazily tossed her phone and looked outside the window, staring at the skyscrapers in the city that kept on moving backwards. Her glance spoke many emotions that wouldn't be understood by mere words. Her thoughts were interrupted by a message tone from her phone.

She absentmindedly checked the message and her eyes popped out wide. She didn't imagine that the person she texted would reply early. She read the text several times and couldn't help but shed a few silent tears. She wasn't even sure if her friend would believe her. However, the next message soured her mood.

[Hey, everyone. Sorry for the ping but the exciting news is here. 'Cool girl' will be having a battle with our Kendall Queen. Battle date not decided yet but be alert not to miss out.
