When Alpha Drake and I left my father, I has remained silent. I had no idea who he was or what he could do.
"Why wont you look at anyone?" He asked me.
"I have no wolf sir, I am not worthy to lay eyes on anyone." I said softly.
"How long has it been since you've seen someones face?" He asked me.
"Almost 11 years sir. Since my mother passed."
"Look at me." He said strongly.
I hesitated for a moment. But I looked at Alpha Drake. I only looked for a second, then returned my gaze to the floor.
"Lira. I am not your father, I am not going to hit you when you don't deserve it." He said.
I had learned not to trust someone when they say that, because it turns out that they always do.
"Yes sir." Is all I said.
We were in the car for a few hours before we finally stopped at a house. It wa smore like a mansion, but that's that I heard from Alpha Drake.
"You will adress me as Alpha Drake, when I talk to you." He said.
"Yes Alpha Drake." I said. He is not my alpha, but, maybe I'll live here.
"Or you can say yes sir like you have been. I like being called sir."
"Yes sir." I said before he led me inside.
There was white marble floors with red satin carpets. the bottom of the walls was an off white color. The place was very well lit.
"Since there is no one here. Take a look around." Drake said.
"Yes Alpha."
I raised my eyes and took in my surroundings for a few seconds before I heard talking. I instantly lowered my eyes back to the floor.
"Alpha, who is this?" I heard a man say.
"This is Lira King. She is the newest addition to our pack. I can trust that we will all treat her with respect." He said in his alpha tone.
I heard a few whimpers and a bunch of 'yes sirs' and some 'yes alpha's'.
"Alpha, if I may," A female said.
"Yes?" Drake asked her.
"What is she to us? How is she useful to us?" She asked snobbishly.
"She is useful, or do you not trust your alpha?" He growled.
"My bad sir. I'm sorry Alpha!" She exclaimed.
"Follow me." He said to me after everyone left.
I followed him through the hallwaus to a room.
"This isn't much, but it is yours. In the morning I will be here to get you. Be ready." Drake said before leaving. He hasn't hit me yet, although I don't have a good feeling about that girl who asked about me.
When I was sure that no one was in the room with me I looked up. "My" room was off white with the same red satin carpet as the intrance to the house. I had a window with pale red curtians. The window overlooked the back yard. There was a large fenced in area with a grill and some tables. It was free of trees, bushes, and large rocks.
I left the window and went to the bed. The bed was soft and warm. I don't remember the last time I had a bed this soft. I was almost scared to lay in it. So I didn't. That night, I slept in the floor. When I woke up around dawn, there was a pile of clothing on the bed with a note.

Get ready whenever you wake, you have a few things to do today. First is cooking breakfast with Ms. Vanessa. You will call her by such. Secons you will clean up after breakfast then join me in the den. It is beside the kitchen, you can find it easily.

Once I had finished reading the note, I folded it with care are changed into my clothes. A pair of leggongs and an oversized t shirt. At least 2 times too big.
I walked into the kitchen after finding it. Someone walked in as I did.
"Ms. Vanessa? Is that you ma'am?" I asked softly.
"Yes, and you are?" She asked. Her voice wasn't rude or overpowering. Her voice was simply calm.
"I am your help." I said keeping my eyes down.
"Why don't you look up?" She asked.
"It is forbiden for me to look up. I have no wolf, so I am an outcast. I may not look ay anyone." I explained. I heard something that sounded liek shutters.
"Well, in my kitchen, I require eye contact while speaking. You can look at me. But if anyone comes in, you look down. Got it?" She asked sternly.
"Yes ma'am." I said.
"It's Ms. Vanessa, and in my kitchen. You are not just a help. You are a cook, a provider." Ms. Vanessa said. We cooked breakfast for everyone that morning. I looked up about two times. Only to grab a food item from a shelf that was higher than me. And after that I did what Alpha Drake asked of me. Once I was done, Drake told me something I never expected to hear.
"Why did you not eat? You should really eat."
"I was not aloud to eat with my father." I said.
"Lira, go eat something. How long has it been since you've eaten?" He asked. He sounded ginuinely concerned. I wasn't falling for it though.
"Almost two weeks sir. All I've eaten is an apple and a few carrots one day." I said honestly.
He gave me some food and sent me to my room. I couldn't eat all of it so I got rid of it. I don't eat much given the circumstances.
That night I slept in the bed.
