As the old man summed up with his tour around the house and outside training grounds and dojo he has for teaching. He grabs my attention when he stops and looks at me to tell me he was the village Elder and today's celebration was for the lost God who was reborn to the village before the foundation of there kingdom they now reside in. The kingdom of Iris. I was too caught up that this old man that just took me in was the leader of the village and I blocked out the part about the god being born here before. This village's Elder looked at me though with deep expectations as I he felt that the village prophecy was coming true. The old man asks me just to call him Grandfather Elder and he said I will be a special guest to him in the upcoming celebration. I didn't like it and had no idea what he was planning but something didn't seem right about it. As dusk starts to approach Grandfather Elder comes to fetch me from the back yard, the yard has a small pond with a small tree in the center on a little mound of dirt and a small yard surrounding it on all sides before the porch, He tells me it's time to go for the celebration for starting preparations. He brings me to a room where a servant came in to take my measurements her name was Alex and she looked about 20 and was a short reddish brown haired woman. She was quick with getting the measurements and soon disappeared. Elder just smirked and nodded his head before saying to follow him. He then turned to me and asked my name for the time since meeting and the only thing that runs through my head is Suki Rem. I blurted out before realizing that I was actually saying it and the old man just stared at me puzzled for a moment before recovering. I looked to the floor in a shallow bow as I thought about what might have caused his reaction. I then asked "why was I fitted earlier I wasn't told about being part of anything?" Elder responded only by chuckling. "You have arrived on the perfect day for a shock to everyone." That confirmed my suspicions and I knew the old man had plotted something, "I'm starting to like this mischievous old man, " I think to myself as I soon start to follow after to see what's next. Elder had the change of clothes brought to the washroom and had a maid on standby outside the door. The new clothes where embossed with light gold and silver around the shoulders and cuffs of the sleeves and by the buttons on the front. The pants where matching with it down the seems on the sides and by the ankles. I also got a white dyed leather shoes to go along with the black and white silk clothes. By this point I knew I was in for being a center of attention and I didn't like the idea. Shortly after I step out the washroom the maid calls my name "Mr. Rem this way please we are to take you to the stage to meet the elder of the village." I simply nod my head and start to follow her along the hallway to the outside. She hands me a note and whispers to me "good luck". I then come out to a small trail leading around the eastern side of the building. As I come from around the corner I see the stage and all sorts of stalls selling foods I've never seen before. Stalls that have different armors and weapons or clothing and jewelry or pottery. The stage is empty right now and the streets have more people than what you would think from just how many houses where first seen. "I guess there must be farms around and lots of workers from there come out to this small town". Everyone seems happy and cheerful but it's still relatively quiet I only hear small chatter in hushed voices, the occasional child yelling with friends. I take the note out of my pocket and it read "Hello I am Veronica and you are about to be chosen for a trail your going to have a short amount of time and I suggest you find me after receiving your title." What does she mean chosen for the trail and what title am I getting couldn't she give more details I ask myself. I noticed a few people start gathering around the stage front so I decided I would go behind and see where Elder was at, he said he had plans for me in the celebration tonight. Just as I get through the archway to the back of the stage I see Elder standing there looking out at the crowd. He looks at me and motions me over to join him. As I come up beside him, he turns and walks further behind the stage and says "we have a few moments before we start." then looks to the steps heading into the stage. " You are about to learn what I was scheming about since you came up to me". Grandfather Elder said to me before smiling and stepping up the stairs to take the stage. I can only gulp in anticipation as I start up the stairs after the old man that's been full of surprises since I've met him. As I reach the top of the stage I notice there are 5 people on each side of the stage with Grandfather Elder standing in the middle he motions me to stand next to him and as I do there are many gasps heard from the crowd before they all became silent. Elder stepped forward and started addressing the crowd of people. "This boy has come to our village from the great demon tree today on the celebration of the birth of the hero that founded our kingdom. " He continued, " Today I have taken this boy in to personally watch over him the prophecy talked about a boy being found under that tree being a demon lord reborn so maybe there was a chance of him changing the future with training me himself." "This giving us all the chance to change the future and be favored." As the elder concluded he had me now step forward and asked me to say the name I asked to be called. "Suki Rem is the name that came to me, I woke from under the demon tree and couldn't remember anything of my past at first but this name is all that came back" ... Elder cut me off there and said to everyone, " I have chosen to train this young boy to be strong and awaken his power to take the trails from the kingdoms. I give him the Title of "Demon lord fledgling" Elder then waves his hands and turns me around to take me off stage. he then stops at the bottom of the stairs and says I can go home now he would be back later to discuss details about what he's just said. So I head home thinking about everything that's happened and remember the note so I decide to look around the house for this mysterious maid Veronica. The washroom would be a good place to start that's where I first met her I think to myself and start walking down the hallway. Just as I was about to step infront of the doorway I felt a dread like something bad was able to happen and just as I hesitated from that thought a knife flew through the crack in the door between the frame where I would have been standing. It stuck deep into the wall behind me and I turned to run.
