"Which quest do you think we should take?" Lily asked while thoroughly examing each request available for the E rank. We had spent most of the day buying her and Corey new equipment, most of it being around E- to D+ ranked so they both could get nearly a full set.
Lily was wearing white thigh highs with a short black skirt. She had Black boots on that complimented her skirt. She was wearing a long-sleeve white shirt with black stars and moons all over it as well as some stripes on the sleeves.
She bought some throwing knives as well to add to her dagger on the black weapon strap around the waist of her skirt. Her short blonde hair and wolf characteristics made her look extremely cute, but I seriously questioned how battle-appropriate her attire was.
Corey was wearing a Green and black Robe that went all the way down to his ankles, just above his feet. Its mix of black and green stripes and filling looked quite fitting for his character, his long black hair complementing his attire.
His staff was in its strap over his back while his hair was pulled back into a messy bun. 'Who would've thought my friends would've had such a good fashion sense.' I thought. "Why don't we just take all the ones pertaining to the Boar Dungeon? I don't think we're ready for the Wolves Den Dungeon just yet." I said nonchalantly.
Just the name of the dungeon brought back awful memories of my dismembered body, but that dragon I turned into looked awesome. "I agree with Sphar. Let's take every quest that involves the Boar Dungeon since we will have all weekend." Corey agreed. Lily quickly snatched 4 quests off the board.
We walked up to the receptionist and handed her all of the quests. "You know you have a time limit to complete quests after you accept them?" She said while staring at all of us with a face that screamed "Dumb kids."
"We'll be camping out in the woods all weekend. Don't worry, we'll have them all completed and turned in by Sunday afternoon." I quickly replied to break the awkward silence. Lily just looked at the floor in an embarrassed manner. Corey wasn't helping the situation either.
The receptionist stared at us for a few more seconds before sighing and signing off on the quests. "Thank you," I said before we walked out of the guild. We had already double-checked all of our gear and made sure we were ready to depart from the city. We bought a huge portable tent with enough space for us all to sleep in comfortably.
We didn't buy any health or mana potions since we were only going to an E ranked dungeon, and we had Lily. Plus they are expensive. That's why Light mages are always deemed very important and are often paid to join parties. We left the city and started our hour or so long walk towards the nearest Boar Dungeon.
"So Corey, do you think you'll hit Rank 2 while we farm the boar dungeon?" I asked, just to make conversation to make the time pass by faster. "Definitely. I have no doubt in my mind that I will. I'm just not sure what to expect when it happens." He replied while staring intensely at the ground.
"No need to be so tense, whatever happens, I'll make sure you both come out unscathed," I said while taking my scythes out to juggle. It had become a hobby of mine when I got bored. I even spun them around with the chains and used them like Yo-Yo's at times.
The walk there was filled with random conversations that would fill our memories for the rest of our lives. It's always the least expected events you're brain will remember. We finally reached the dungeon at around the time the Sun was setting behind the trees.
"We should make camp a few yards outside of the entrance to the dungeon and start our training early in the morning," I said while fake yawning. "That's a good idea and all, but how can you tell when the dungeon begins and ends?" Corey asked me with a dumbfounded expression plastered all over his face.
"Oh, well. I just have a sense for it I guess." I said before taking out our tent and starting to set it up. 'I gotta be more careful with what I say from now on.' I kept repeating to myself while Corey and Lily helped me properly prepare the tent. None of us knew exactly what we were doing so it took a bit longer than it probably should've.
"I'll let you two get settled in first. I'm going to go scout around the dungeon for an hour or two and see if I can find any chests or where the boss is located." I told them before flying in the air and landing on a branch. I hopped to the next branch connected to a different tree and disappeared.
"Scouting my ass. Let's kill some boars!" I said to myself while zooming across the trees. The quests we picked up were as follows, Kill 25 boars, slay the dungeon boss, collect 10 boar tusks, and collect 5 boar hides. All of the quests could be easily completed in one night by myself, but I wanted Corey and Lily to get some good experience in themselves.
"On second thought, let's not kill any boars. The respawn time of mobs in this dungeon is too slow, and it only gets slower the higher rank of the dungeon. I want Corey and Lily to enjoy this weekend." I mumbled to myself while hanging upside down from a branch, the sun fully setting behind me.
I relaxed on the branch for about an hour as I watched the moon and clouds move around the sky. I didn't need to scout since I already know the layout of this dungeon. I got up and headed back to our campsite a few yards outside of the dungeon.
"Welcome back. You sure took your time." Corey said while doing some pushups. "Yeah, I ended up getting distracted." I chuckled. I sat down by the tent and realized Lily was already inside, asleep. "This is going to be a fun weekend," I said while spacing out looking at the ground.
None of us had the gear or skill to start a fire, so we had to make do with our sleeping bags inside the tent. The nights were cold, but not too cold. The constant strong winds were also very enjoyable. I didn't dare to try to use Thunder to start a fire as I would end up destroying everything and my control over the raw element without the use of a skill wasn't good enough to just create a spark yet.
'Maybe I should put more skill points into it [Mana Infused Claws] so my control over magic will be better. Though it seems like a waste of skill points when comparing it to Basic Weaponship or my magic abilities. I'll pinder this more in the future.' I thought before heading into the tent.
'I don't have enough skill points to be worrying about something like that at the moment anyways.' I got in my bag that was in the middle of the tent, Lily being to my left, and Corey's empty bad was to my right. The moonlight was shining through the thin tent.
I looked at Lily and she had a little drool on her cheek since she was sleeping on her side facing towards me. Her hair was all messed up despite its short length. 'She looks so innocent.' I quickly looked away though as it felt wrong to watch someone else sleeping.
"Come back," Lily mumbled as her arm landed on top of my chest. However, her eyes were still closed and she didn't show any signs of being awake. 'She must be having some sort of dream.' I gently moved her arm off of my body and closed my eyes.
I wasn't tired at all, but relaxing through the night was always a good pass time. Not too long after I entered, Corey followed and layed down in his bag, and rolled over to face the wall of the tent.
'Tomorrow is the beginning of our weekend expedition.'
