Returning to Earth,
Kieron sits on his bed, staring wistfully at the ceiling, the cat food he had gotten for Grumpy sitting empty on the floor.
Finally after all these years, he can see the light at the end of the tunnel. His game was so close to completion that he could almost taste the anticipation he had.
Kieron looked at the ceiling tiles and traced their outline with his eyes for a second before pausing.
'Huh, wait, how can I see the ceiling, it's pitch dark?!'
Jolting up from his trance, Kieron noticed that a subtle red glow had begun to creep into his bedroom from his workroom, fearing the worst, Kieron bolted out the door, sprinting to check his beloved machine.
