After the 10th attack we managed to break the barrier.
"Was it really this easy?" I said out loud.
'No matter what, we need to kill this thing.
"Advance!!" I pushed my hand forward, signaling the charge. After we passed the barrier I could feel a distinct wave of Mana.
"The Barrier?" I quickly turned around and fired an attack.

The attack sliced something in mid-air.
"The barriers back sir!" one of my subordinates yelled.
I was getting more worried by the second, but knew I couldn't stop now.
"Advance!" I repeated my orders, charging forward with my squads following.
We quickly reached another barrier.
"Attack!"

This barrier was much harder to break, taking more than 20 attacks to break.
"Advance!" I ignored the familiar Mana waves and ordered the advance.

This went on for 10 more times, and finally we reached the slime. During the process, multiple people fainted, and some even died.
"Pops...What are we even doing this for!! So many people have been sacrificed!! For what!! I can't stand for this anymore, im leaving!!!" I turned to see only 5 people standing behind me. My Brother, grandson, and 3 of my most powerful captains.
"My son, we need to kill this slime!! If we don't, he could end this very world as we know it! Just listen to me this last time!!"
My grandson stopped in his tracks, turning around.
"Are you serious?" He asked me, his voice tearing up.
"Yes!! There is one last barrier, this is all I ask. And where the h*ll are the reinforcements!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, hoping for someone to hear me.
"Sir, I don't think they ever got the message."
Hearing my top captain say this, I lost all hope for anyone, and placed it all on myself.
"Go, I'll take care of this myself!" I yelled to my family, putting up a barrier of my own.
"Pops!" I tuned out all excess noise, and moved forward.
Now that I was only feet away from the slime, my life essence was being sucked up in mere seconds.
I forced my barriers backwards, making my family cling to the other barrier that stopped them from leaving.
I opened a whole in my barrier and launched ten [Hpw Blades] at the barrier behind it, destroying it.
Once the barrier was destroyed, I continued expanding my barrier forcing the rest even farther away.
"POPS!!" I heard the young yell from a large distance.
Tears flowing from my face, I ignored the voice, charging my most powerful attack.
[Black Hole]
A black orb appeared in my palms, shredding every piece of skin on them. I used all of my strength and forced it towards the slime.
If flew forward colliding with one more barrier before utterly obliterating it, and reaching the slime...or not? The attack stopped right in its tracks, slowly getting smaller until it disappeared.
"HOW!?!?!" I had prayed to Cthulhu hoping this attack would work just for it to not. I watched the slime, as it turned into a dark red, Growing in size. Until I heard a deep voice, evoking fear in my heart.
"Blood!"
I saw the slime appear directly in front of me, holding a blue scythe preparing a swing towards me.
Unknowingly when I released my [Black Hole] I had dropped my barrier.
"STOP!!!"
As the scythe was swinging down, I saw another figure appear in my vision. Using its arms to block the attack coming towards me, just for it to travel straight through their body, splitting them down the middle.
"FOLIO!?!!" I dropped to my knees, holding my grandson with a red line in the middle of his body.
Before I could even grieve for my grandson I heard even more voices.
"Protect the Grandmaster!" My brother and subordinates rushed from behind me, sprinting towards the slime.
They collided with each other for minutes, but it was easy to tell that our side was losing. I would have helped, but all of my mana was consumed by my final attack. It also wasn't very helpful that the slime was still somehow absorbing my mana, without me being able to shield it now.
Eventually my family fell, the slime picking up one of them, proceeding to gnaw away at his flesh.
"Yes!! Blood!!" I heard it scream, Terrifying me down to the core.
"I guess this is the end." I looked up at the slime to see it disappearing then reappearing in front of me.
"Haha, Correct!"
