Daylight broke through the slit in the curtains as I groaned, waking rather drowsy with sleep from the streak of light that caressed my face. I yawned as I stretched my limbs, my fingers then caressing the sheet beside me as my eyelids finally fluttered open.
Cain...?
I glanced around his room, his scent and his belongings all filing the room I was in. However, the only thing lacking... Is Cain himself...
I sat upright in his bed, squeezing my eyes shut to psyche myself for the day as the event of the night before played in the back of my mind like it was on loop. I knew he felt uncomfortable the night before, having revealed something so shocking.
However... Wasn't he the one who asked, no... Begged me to stay!? Why is he the first to leave!?
