Synopsis
The Eldritch Family. For many centuries, this family has terrorized the local town of Ashborne, a town without electricity or contact to the outside world... Every year, the townsfolk will hold a ceremony where they will send a child to deliver gifts and sacrifices to the Eldritch Family Manor...every child who has gone up to their manor never return... The people of Ashbourne must deliver sacrifices to the Eldritch every year, unless they want to face their wrath. Although it’s unknown what the true nature of this family is, the village people all know that crossing them will be a horrible idea. Soon, a group of townspeople rebelled against the Eldritch and attempted to invade their castle manor, but they were easily outmatched and those who rebelled were cursed to transform into wolven monstrosities. The Werewolves continue to be at conflict with the Eldritch, along with being at war with the family, the werewolves have slowly begun to turn rabid, and unless someone puts a stop to the Eldritch Family, soon the werewolves will lose all semblance of their humanity. One day, after 300 years of silence, the Eldritch Family has finally communicated with the people of Ashbourne, requesting a servant to go up there and work for them. The Werewolves caught wind of this and took this opportunity to send a Half-Born up there, a half-human and half-werewolf, unlike the Werewolves a half-born is not cursed to turn rabid, but in turn lose many of the abilities of a regular werewolf, they are the werewolves’ only chance at stopping the Eldritch. They sent a Half-Born to infiltrate the Eldritch, and now they must wait and hope everything goes according to plan... (Heavily inspired by Resident Evil 7 and 8)

Chapter 1 - Prologue

The small child sat outside his home, looking up at the mountain, and on top of it was a tiny castle, as small as a speck of dirt from where the child was sitting. "Grandma...what is up in that snowy mountain?" He asked the elderly woman, who had stepped out of a stone hut. "...Sit Down, and let me tell you a story" the woman told the child.

"Centuries ago...We were a large community, a kingdom even...our community had been prospering...until the Werewolves arrived" she explained, "the wolves...they came and ravaged everything. No one know where they came from and why they attacked...they were nearly unstoppable, arrows, swords, cannons, none of it was enough to kill the werewolves...but then...The Eldritch Family arrived and slaughtered the werewolves, saving the few remaining civilians we had left...as thanks, they requested a fortress, one that is secluded and blocked from the sun's view...so we constructed a castle on Mount Ignis, a mountain covered in snow...a mountain that has never been touched by the sun's ray...centuries after centuries, they have defended us from the werewolves...and as thanks, we hold a raffle every year...the raffle is only for children, those with young and flesh blood, and whomever is picked will head up to the mountain and into the Eldritch Family's castle"

"And what happens to the children that go up there?" The boy asked. "...They're taken care of...they grow to become strong like the Eldritch..." she explained, looking up at the sky. "Theo, it's time" the boy's mother said.

He got up and approached his mother, who placed a coat around him, along with a sack filled with food and other offerings. "...Goodbye" she said, forcing a smile. She wrapped her arms around the boy and gave him a long hug. "What are you saying goodbye for? I'll see you soon, right?" The boy asked. His mother nodded, patting him on the head, she planted a kiss on his forehead before sending him on his way.

"Goodbye Theodore...Goodbye" his mother and grandmother waved. Theo waved back, giving one final glance back at his parents before embarking on his journey up the mountains.

That was the last time the boy was ever seen again...
