That worried crinkle in his eyes. 

That gleam in his pupils.

THE YEAR 1904, a century away from the present time. 

Althea knew that it's Wang Qing Long. Her palms gripped the window frame as the man turned to her. His shadow-white eyes glistened at the broad daylight. Althea's azure one recognized him in an instant. Qing Long wasn't sure if she could remember him. He swallowed, and Althea did the same thing, too. 

Qing Long uttered, "Your Highness..." 

The words that tumble out of his mouth weren't the ones Althea expected. She gripped the window frame, her long sleeves flowed back, concealing her forearms. Her brown hair cascaded over her shoulders. How could he call her 'Your Highness'?
