His gaze was on the two women he had met in the first seconds of his arrival in the Far Circle, and they must have noticed that they responded by turning their backs on the attention. The two women wielding double daggers didn't seem to be pleased with Mel's attention, as Baybars had seen his reflection in the shiny surface of the blades pointed at them.
"Mel, turn around now. Do you want to have us killed?"
Sensing Kapo beginning to tremble, Mel slowed his pace. Baybars was helpless, unable to speed up the enormous body student unless he wanted to, and one of the two female fighters was taking the first step towards them.
"It's coming. The horde of wild beasts is coming!"
