Mel smiled as he read the text. He raised his right hand and examined the surface of the rock. It was a massive monolithic boulder, and there were no signs of weakness other than the inscriptions. If the cave had been discovered by someone else, he might see it as an ordinary piece of stone with scratches on it. But Mel knew what it was, thanks to the information that came from his grandfather.
"Let's see how tough you are!"
Mel crossed his fingers and turned his right hand into a dragon's claw. With this hand, he attacked below the scripts. Nothing happened except for a scratchy sound and a few sparks. The rock did not move an inch. Its demeanor, pretending that it had been standing here since the beginning of time, hadn't changed.
