He heard the sound of steps retreating and turned to see his wife heading towards the door. "Where are you going?" I asked and she looked at me for a moment before saying, "I may have not been the best wife, Nic but I was never one to allow so much havoc to take place."
The door slammed and he felt his heart break. No matter how much love and hate they had, he knew she was right. "Nic," he heard and looked up at Kliana. "You know that I love you right," she started and my eyes went wide at this revelation. "You know that I have always seen you as important, as a being I could rely on. That I have forever had your best interest at heart even when I have been wrong or when I have wronged you. You know this right?" she asked and I looked away.
