Chapter 76 - Chapter Seventy_Six: The Beginning Of The Tale

The door was opened rough causing me to awaken from the shock. No one had ever opened the door like that and everyone had always been so polite with the way they moved around me. Yet when the door had been opened in such a manner my alarm bells were enough to get me moving quicker than normal.

"Up! Up! Up!" Quin snapped as she clapped her hands three times. Looking at her through my dazed eyes, I let out a heavy yawn as my body was still in dreamland and noticing that it was just her. I couldn't care about what was happening at this present moment.

"Oh no you don't," she said as pulled the blankets away from me when I tried to go back to sleep. Wicked woman. Groaning, I pulled the blankets back and held them down to make sure she struggled to pull them away again.

"Aria! You need to get up. You need to resume your lessons and get ready for a gathering. You can't keep playing these mundane games. There is no falsehood of forever here. You may live forever here but there is always something to do for a reason.

Now get up or else." She warned.

"Leave me be, I just want to sleep okay." I groaned and I felt her release a frustrated sigh. The door slammed shut and just when I was about to fall asleep. I felt the blankets be ripped from me.

"QUINN- WHAAAAA!" I screamed as I felt multiple people grab me at the same time. When my eyes focused on the people carrying me, I noticed it was the maids carrying me towards the bathroom. "PUT ME DOWWWNNN!" I screamed.

"That's right, my sweet little darling is long gone as you would have noticed, this is what you get. You should have listened and for the fact that I don't have time to entertain your nonsense or baby you. This is what's going to happen.

I am going to have them scrub you till there's no spark of dirt on you. Brush and squeeze you into the training clothes. After that, we will be back for the royal dressings. We don't have time, Aria, today is important. The other realms would like to see who you are.

And we are going to present you as though the one thing they have never seen in their entire existence." She declared broadly then snapped her fingers. Within seconds they had removed my clothes and thrown me into the milky bath.

Within a short time span, I was dressed in full gear and being escorted to the training room. Apparently, this wasn't the usual training with Quin or Salvaster. This was something a bit higher and riskier.

Why do I say this?

Well, because they got me dressed in multiple layers of protective cases on my stomach and chest plus back. My face was covered with a black helmet. I felt as though I was about to play cricket and rugby at the same time with no guidance.

When we reached a specific room, the doors were pulled apart and I noticed that the room was very dark. The only light was from the candles and the door which she had used to enter the room. And as soon as the doors were closed the room got brighter with the candles.

As though sensing that it was the only light in the room.

Looking around I noticed the scent of the place. It was a strong foreign aroma but one that made one relax way too much. There was a light aura in the room and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. This kind of aura was usually produced by large beings in one room.

She had remembered this from her lesson with Salvaster. Her eyes searched around, unsure of why she would be in such a place alone. Where was the trainer or one of the usuals she would be with?

She felt like leaving the room yet when she took a step back, she felt something sharp digging into her back. Pulling away, she quickly turned to see an elderly woman looking at her with a small smile. The kind of smile that would make a shiver go through someone's body.

Her eyes were ghostly white and her grey hair tied back and neatly braided back. She looked at nothing in particular but the long sword that was in her hand proved that she wasn't a weak elderly woman. That was just to deceive everyone. There was more to this and I wasn't sure what it was.

"You are so pretty yet so fragile. Emotions are useless and have no place in this realm otherwise others will walk all over you. Pick your battles princess and prepare yourself because I am a test not to be failed." She said as she kept the sword pointed at me and immediately it flared with flames.

"Who are you?" I asked as I stepped further away from her. "Child. I am your end." She said darkly and immediately came for me.

Oh no…
