Aria stared at the kingdom as though artifacts had been used to create it, she stared at it as though beings that only existed in books were brought to life and she wondered how it was possible that all of these lived. Aria stared at the sky that seemed to be a perfect blend of artistic colors.
She watched the blue blend with a tinge of pink and purple. Yet she could see the dark grey in there. She couldn't stop staring at the sky, there was no sun, nor moon, it was just blended and she felt as though she had walked into a museum. A museum she wasn't ready to leave but desired to explore more of.
And that wasn't even enough, she caught sight of human-sized wings in the sky, as though dragons existed. She wanted to pull out her camera and take pictures, pictures to see what they really were but she had no device on her.
"They actually are dragons, yet when they land they turn into humans. That way Its easier to communicate, rather than opening their mouth and catching the sight of blood in their mouth or fire coming out. They are usually the best type of beings to be around as you can rely on their services and assistance. Just don't anger them, otherwise, you might find yourself being burned alive", she heard
"Plus we do have devices, they're just not needed as they cause too much commotion and waste the time of rulers and workers. So we stick to basic stuff here, letters and mind links. Visions, portals, and all sorts of other means. So it makes the need or desire of devices useless", he continued.
"I've never seen something so beautiful until now, it seems so perfect yet also so… different. Is the sky always this color? Always so blended and different?" she questioned,
"The colors change but they are never as your skies are on earth. Here they blend well, representing the different beings and their control. We try and make sure that everyone is placed in certain ways and at times the sky just brings out those colors. You would think it's our control but it isn't. Since they are so, powers that grow and are brought into life, they affect the air that we breathe and what we see and so it has affected everything around us", he said as they walked forward, allowing her to take in the area and its nature.
Trees weren't green here, they were a mix of all colors, one yellow, another purple, another pink. All just blending with the sky, it seemed as though they communicated and let themselves blend with each other. Becoming one.
"How many… beings are here… in this world?" she asked as she wondered how many creatures were there since there were more than ten different kinds of colors.
"We never keep track as there are different kingdoms unless they are close to us, then we need to know. In this kingdom, we are known as the Oscuridian… we are shapeshifters and shadow bidders." He said
"Shadow bidders?" she asked, unfamiliar with the term.
"Yes, we are able to take the light and turn it into darkness, we are able to read auras and see when there's dark energy. The more dark energy there is, the more powerful we get. And since the earth has one of the darkest aura's, its usually our playground but because we are growing larger due to every dark feeling, thought, deed. It had turned us into one of the most powerful beings. So there is a ruler that must be set and ensure that we don't cause too much trouble.
Our neighboring kingdoms are both the Witches, Dragons, Light bidders, and Markers. All with different unique powers and gifts and one that you shouldn't come close to until you receive your gift… that's if you receive your power", he mumbled.
"Power? What power? I am human or have you forgotten that you took me from the earth. Remember the living", she said,
He just chuckled, "When I choose I never make a mistake, you just need to survive long enough to see if you are worthy enough to receive the print and the power. Let's just hope everything goes well", he 1said
"You speak as if I will die," she huffed
He kept quiet and Aria noticed how his demeanour turned tense, he wasn't the same easy-going man, as if to say that her words had nicked him. "I hope not Aria, I hope not, now let's go, you must get ready, you have much to learn."
Aria watched him for a second, feeling fear wrap around her, as though to say that she didn't know what she had agreed to do and what death truly meant. She just hoped that she had made the right decision for her soul.
