(Royal Palace=Royal Temple).
(Faruk stood there and he had a clarified feigned sadness on his face. He then break down into tars and put his hands together. Queen mother felt dizzy and was held tightly by Queen Sheena. The king went closer and touched Faruk's shoulder and he groaned like he was in pain. Tears run down his cheeks and he fell on his knees in front of his father. Queen Dorah smiled by the other side of her lips since she thought the job was finally done. Queen mother's heart was hot and her anger reached the peak).
'' Speak up Faruk! Where is Majid? ''. Queen mother shouted.
'' I am very sorry grandmother. I tried all I could to...
'' No! ''. Queen Sheena screamed. '' My son can't be dead no! ''.
(Rishi had a shock and collapsed in Kushi's arms. Queen mother shouted for the guards and they quickly carried Rishi straight to the royal check up room. Queen mother turned to lord Krishna's statue with anger in her eyes. Suddenly,they heard noises outside the compound and they all rushed out. Cindy arrived in the compound on Majid's horse and she was weeping bitterly. She stepped down from the horse and Natalya embraced her tightly. When Faruk saw this,he realised that this plan of his was a success. Cindy was sitting on the horse with Majid. So if Cindy has arrived alone,then that means the job is done).
'' Cindy...oh girl am so happy you are here and okay ''.
'' I was so scared ''. She wept.
'' Cindy,where is Majid? Where is he?! ''.
'' Oh my God Natalya. Majid.....
'' Faruk? ''. The Queen mother called from behind.
'' Yes? ''.
'' You said you did all you could to help Majid? So how come you arrived in the palace before the foreigner? ''.
(Faruk then realised he had made a very stupid move. His heart beat changed and Queen Dorah's appreciation towards turned into anger).
'' Grandmother I....
(The king's heart loosed balance and he fell to the ground. His heart attack started and the guards gathered around him. Queen Dorah prayed that he died that instant because that will make Faruk the king since Majid was dead. The Queen mother's attention was shifted to the king. The foreigners wept for the demise of Majid. And suddenly, there was a louder noise getting nearer the compound and entered, was Sushim with Majid on a horse in front of him. The king saw this and jumped on his feet. Cindy's face lighted up with a bright smile. Prince Faruk's facial expression changed instantly and so WS Queen Dorah. More guards arrived and carried the bleeding and unconscious Majid into the palace).
'' Oh lord...thank you. My grandson....
'' What happened Sushim?! ''. The king cried.
'' He is badly hurt your highness. I followed them secretly and suddenly, a lion appeared from nowhere and attacked Prince Majid. Please, he needs medical attendant now! ''.
(Everyone of them rushed unto the building, leaving Faruk and Queen Dorah outside. Prince Faruk's personal bodyguard and other two guards entered the palace with disappointment on their faces).
'' How can you be so incompetent Faruk? ''. Queen Dorah slapped him in disgust.
'' Mother! ''. Faruk shouted like he was possessed. '' How dare you slap me huh? ''.
'' You fool! ''. Queen Dorah slapped him harder the second time and he snapped out of it. '' Shut up, when your mother is talking, you shut up and listen. See what you've caused? Now Queen mother and tour father... even those foreigners will suspect you! ''.
'' But I did all I could mother! ''.
'' You should have told me you were going to execute your plans today,and maybe...I could have given you an idea,but your stupid arrogance got in the way didn't it!. Your brother is still alive ,and still your crowned Prince... I don't know why I gave birth to such a disgraceful useless human being! ''.
'' So you are blaming me now? ''.
'' Who else? ''.
'' What were you busily doing then mother? When I was planning all this. All you do is leave everything to me. When I do something good, I get praised just a little. But when it's bad...you can use the whole year to insult me ''.
'' Did you see Majid's condition when he was brought here? He is almost lifeless. At least that should give you a clue of how dangerous my plans,it was about to be accomplish. But I don't know what happened.... That he got saved. I just don't know ''.
'' It all lands on one thing. He is still alive. And time is going Faruk. Your father is not getting any younger, he is so old now,if he dies without pronouncing you the crowned Prince while Majid is still alive, then get ready to bow down to tour little brother ''. Queen Dorah stormed off angrily.
(Royal check up room).
One of the royal doctors had checked on Rishi and they had cleared her body with warm water and clean towel. Kushi and Queen Sheena sat beside her while she was unconscious. The royal doctor smeared some grinded wet herbs under her get,on the burns she got from walking on the burning coal. Her feet were all red. Some parts were blotted o and it looked painful and terrible. Queen Sheena and Kushi wept at the sight of Rishi and Majid's demise. The royal doctor stood up and prepared her medication on a pan and got ready to leave.
'' How is she now? ''.
'' She fainted out of shock. But her legs are looking very bad tour highness. The burns were severe...she is too young and shouldn't have done that. She should rest for this whole night and I will come and treat her tomorrow ''.
'' Thank you...you may leave now ''.
(The royal doctor left and Queen Sheena wiped her tears. Kushi sat besides Rishi on the bed and caressed her).
'' Your highness? ''.
'' Yes? ''.
'' Is Prince Majid really dead? ''.
'' ..... ''.
'' Did Rishi really walk on fire for nothing. I have loosed all hope in the lord? How can he break his own commandments to his children. He said the only security way to a husband's life is for his wife to sacrifice her own life. How can Rishi be suffering like this? It's not fair! ''.
'' My son can't be dead...no ''.
'' But he is! You heard Prince Faruk yourself! Now my friend is a widow! And her hair will be cut and she will go and live in the mountains of widows! ''.
(Queen mother entered the room with a wide smile. But there was blood all over her saree and hands).
'' Majid is alive! Sushim brought him...and the royal head doctor is treating his wounds ''.
(They all put their hands together and closed their eyes in happiness. Queen Sheena and Queen mother embraced each other happily. Queen mother checked on Rishi. Rishi opened her eyes at once. She got up and sat down fast,breathing heavily. Then memories of Prince Majid's death news flashed through her head and she screamed while holding her head down and sweating. Kushi held her tightly and she pushed her away).
'' Majid. Majid..... ''. She acted like someone possessed.
'' Majid is fine Rishi. Rishi listen..... ''. Queen mother calmed her down.
'' Majid? Where's Majid, mother? ''. Rishi cried.
'' He is I'm his chamber right now Rishi... he is alive calm down. Your suffering didn't come in vain ''. Queen Sheena said calmly.
(Rishi quickly forgot herself and got down from the bed. She felt a sharp pain under her feet making her fall. The Queens and Kushi were surprised at her reaction. Queen Sheena tried getting her back on the bed but she refused).
'' I want to see him please. Please! ''.
'' Royal doctor said....
'' The royal doctor is not who I care about mother. Please let me see Majid ''.
'' Okay...let's go ''. Queen mother said.
(Kushi and Queen Sheena held Rishi's hands,side by side as she leaped and took her out).
(Prince Majid's chamber).
He layed down in the comfort of his grand bed,half naked. His head was bandaged with a green fluffy linen and there were little scratches on his cheek. He layed the still in an unconscious state. The king and Sushim stood there,starring at him while the royal doctor cleared all the blood from his body and tummy. She wrapped a heavy bandage around his tummy and placed some mixtures of medication on the drawer fixed to his bed. He was in his tight boxers, and after treatment, the white bedsheets on his bed was used to cover his body,leaving his chest to his tummy were he was wounded badly. The Queens entered with Rishi and Kushi. The king was more than astonished to see Rishi in that state. They closed the door behind them.
'' What happened to her? ''.
(The Queens hesitated to answer but he became more serious).
'' I said what happened to her?! ''.
'' Urrrmmm, it is...well,she performed the Loha Chastra ritual ''.
'' What?! Mother, how could you let her walk on burning coal of protection... and for what?! ''.
'' To protect Majid of course! Meerah used to do the same thing for you when war used to emerge here remember? ''.
'' It's not the same thing! They are not married yet....
'' It doesn't matter your highness ''. Rishi put her hands together. '' I am willing to bath in fire to save my Prince. I am just fulfilling a wife's duties, that's all. And even though the wedding is not yet here,but I want to be ready to sacrifice my life for him ''.
'' What a brilliant young lady. Thank you very much dear. Your prayers are answered by the lord ''.
'' How is my son? ''. Queen Sheena asked.
'' He is in a bad shape tour highness. He is not looking good at all. He may have an infection and some fever through the night. So someone will have to stay here with him through the night, in order to serve him with water an the medicine I have left. I will check on him tomorrow. The scratch is not just any scratch, it ha turned into a cut and gone deep. But thank the lord it didn't go in that deep to kill him ''.
(They all took a deep breath and cooled down).
'' So,what do we do now? ''.
'' I will come back tomorrow to check on him. He may develop some fever this night due to the severe pain of the cut. Some headaches and other discomfort. So I suggest someone stay here tonight and watch over him. And let some servants arrive here with a basin of cold water and a clean towel....so that it is used to massage his head if that headache and body pain arrives ''.
'' Sheena, go and call one of the maids to stay with Majid.....
'' No your highness! I will stay here ''.
'' Rishi? ''.
'' Please mother, I know amnot worth it. But I won't listen to you tonight. I am sorry. You wouldn't prevent me if I was his wife ''.
'' This is a job for the servants. You have to rest ''.
'' Let that servant also rest mother. Please I beg you, I want to take care of him. At least, until he feels better... Please? ''.
'' Okay dear. Well done Rishi. Please, rest in the couch when you are tired okay? Or better still,sleep beside him when you feel sleepy,the bed is large enough to carry five people. We shall leave now, the servants shall bring you the basin of water soon ''
'' Yes Queen mother ''.
(Rishi touched their feet's even in her pain. The king was amazed. The royal family got out of the chamber and Rishi embraced Kushi as they both laughed).
'' You can go to my chamber and sleep Kushi. You are my sister, you have the right to sleep on my bed ''.
'' Jeezzz yes of course! Where else did you think I will sleep? I will see you tomorrow Rishi. And you know what? ''.
'' What? ''.
'' Take care of your Prince...real good ''. Kushi mocked at her.
(They both laughed and Kushi left the chamber. Two maids brought a pan of cold water and a clean towel. While the other brought fruits and olive oils and they bowed down and arranged the items on another table beneath the bed and they left. Rishi sat down on the couch and starred at Majid on the bed. Her legs were aching badly and the green herbs had dried off on the sore. She leaped closer to bed and was afraid to sit on it since she considered herself not worth it. But she standing was hurting her feet and she was in a lot of pain).
(Rishi's chamber).
Kushi removed her clothes and entered the dressing room to look for a night gown. She started looking through the closet to select from the numerous things and just then,she heard someone opened the chamber door. Her heart stopped a beat and quickly stopped what she was doing. She tiptoed to the dressing room door and slowly opened the door and saw someone in maiden clothes, searching over the whole room. She was shocked but didn't make a sound. Avni opened the wardrobe and looked exactly where she was ordered to search for the pot but didn't see anything. She looked around the bed and opened all the drawers and still couldn't find the pot.
'' If I go back and tell her I couldn't find it,then she will punish me for sure ''. Avni said holding her waist. '' And if I stay here any longer and someone catches me,I will surely be beheaded. Where am I going to find that pot now? I guess I will come back tomorrow ''.
(Avni said as she walked out and slowly closed the heavy door behind. Kushi stepped into the chamber, looking all confused).
'' Pot? And who was that? Oh goodness, this place has become a lot scarier ''. She said and quickly went closer to the door and locked herself inside. '' But who sent her? What does she want in this chamber? ''.
(She said and let herself fall on the bed and her head hit something hard under the pillow. She held her head in pain and rolled over the pillow and took the small pot with shocking face).
'' Wait. Is this the pot?.....
