Point of view of Angela
I tiptoed out of my room and looked down the hall. Slowly making my way down the stairs, base ball bat in hand ready to swing. Each step, there was a slight creaky of the floor and I'm sure he heard it too.
His high pitch laugh filled the mute house until it turned to a low raspy voice. "Where are you? I just want to play a little game". Covering my mouth to keep my small sobs from escaping, crouching down low I started to crawl around the ground, praying that this psycho would leave me alone.
I stumbled around in the pitch black, but I made due, finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as my front door came into view. Crawling faster seeing this was my chance, I stepped full on onto an open nail. Quickly covering my mouth and keeping in a muffled scream my bat dropped from my hand in the process.
Quickly limping across the room until getting behind the kitchen counter. Slowly raising up and peeping over, I let out a soft breath seeing that no-one was there. I slowly opened the draw and took out the rolling pin, making sure to leave it open an inch.
Quickly sliding back down onto the ground, I froze as hot, stinky air brushed against the back of my neck making my hairs stand up. It grew louder and more intense until it stopped and the room was back silent. My heart dropped as these words were uttered behind me from a deep, raspy voice.
"I see you... time to play"
* Pause*
I swung my arm around wildly, and felt the rolling pin connect with his face. I heard cracking and felt traces of his splattered blood dripping down my arm. Pushing him off and limping up the stairs I through myself onto the roof of my window.
Slowly sliding down the roof, I tore off some of my shirt and placed it around my foot to stop the blood.
"Where are you going? We haven't started to play yet." Scurrying further away as my eyes followed his face as the blood flowed from his head. Losing my balance I fell face first onto the ground as he faded back into the shadows. Wheezing and clutching my sides, I let out a half breath as I tasted blood on my lips, and felt if running from my nose.
Gritting my teeth I crawled as the cold air escaped my mouth. "Ha ha ha don't be shy, come play with me, It'll be fun I promise!"
Tears started coming down my eyes as his footsteps became faster as the grew louder. Gasping as the ground gave away under me, I felt myself being swallowed into a numbing lake of water. I felt the current pull me further away from my last breath of air, as the cold water dragged me away.
My body began to violently shake as it started searching for air. My chest started to tighten and my throat closed up. Slowly bubbles left my mouth as I began giving up. My vision started to fade to darkness, and my last sight of light was blocked by a blurry figure.
