As they left, Sean placed the pendant in his pocket safely and unfolded the letter. He could recognize Seraphina's handwriting that inked the paper. The letter read:
Dear Sean,
If you're reading this letter, then that means something happened to me. So, first things first, you were never supposed to find out this way. I had planned an elaborate way to tell you this. I would also have given you the pendant. This was the backup plan- Sia was supposed to give you this letter if things didn't go as planned.
