The encounter with that Dragon left me with a few questions, and a way to solve the problems I'm facing. According to Truth, the bastard would have tried to lie to me and use various nasty tactics to distract me if he didn't take over.
Naturally, him being named 'Truth', I trusted him. That red soul is feisty and cold, but certainly effective in getting what he wants and is more than willing to step in when needed. It's made me grow appreciative of him, just a tad bit.
I thought deeply for the next few hours about my plans. I have quite a lot of projects I'm working on, as usual, and need to solve them one by one.
Firstly, taking care of Samuel's child shouldn't be an issue. Despite being here just moments earlier, he will officially pick her up somewhere in the next few months if he keeps his promise. But, then again, it's Samuel. Cecil should be in good hands with Scarab and the other Automata, so it's something I'm not worried about. I'll only need to check in every once in a while.
Secondly, peace with the angels and demons… hmm, a shame my original intentions with Cecil were squashed with Samuel. However, it's still plausible. I'll just have to meet with another Hyper Angel… one actually affiliated with their chain of command, unlike Samuel. As for demons… hmm, I'll have to put a pin in that.
I'd need a bit more strength before that point, so I should ignore that for now.
Lastly, revival of the monsters. A newly added mission with the information Nyztafix has given me. According to Virtue, who seems to know a bit about it, the Primordial Realms IS achievable to get to… but, insane amounts of Chronomancy and Void Arts will be needed, but the plan of entering earlier renditions of our planes is possible. Additionally, he has actually achieved it before to a small degree.
Last time this was done however, was when Virtue was still alive. A good few billions of years ago, according to him. Naturally, I'm going to look into procuring a sorcerer or artifact capable of producing said effects. Void I can cover myself once I balance out my body, which… I have a plan for. This pill Cecil gave me as well as Samuel's ramblings have given me a great idea.
Firstly, I need to figure out what this pill even is… Cecil didn't tell me as she was busy discussing other things with me at the moment of handing it to me at the moment, and now refuses to tell me as I've come to ask her in spare time.
Its ingredients are all foreign herbs aside from one, Black Lotus. One of the most deadly poisonous herbs to exist. I wonder if she is trying to kill me.
Those men struck by lightning when they gain power consume pills like these ones, don't they? The ones that drone on about inner energy… mm, I've gleaned insight from them before in the process of developing Void and Spell cores, but they are all gone now… perhaps, then, if I go to the Primordial Realms I may meet another one of their kind. Perhaps they'll glean some information about this pill.
I don't have time for that, though.
Now is the time for action. I cannot delay, for each moment I sit here thinking there are countless people dying. I need solutions NOW.
Impulsive it may be, I'm taking an educated guess on what this can do… and so, we'll try our best. Worse comes to worse, I'll use Void to absorb it over and forget about this issue.
What could possibly go wrong, so said the fool. Truly, I'm worried about this… Black Lotus isn't something to fuck around with, and if it IS a poisonous pill I may end up dying. Excuse my profanity.
The other souls seem to wait nervously, except for Purple. Purple seems almost… excited. Like a child waiting for a Christmas present. Red is the most concerned about the situation, not trusting Samuel at all. Which, fair, that's a reasonable thing to do
But, I simply cannot let this weight create a hole in my pocket. After setting myself aside to a nice, calm, and peaceful rec room. I pulled the pill out from my bag. I gave it a look over, just one last time. Evil and vile looking… mm, it smelled terrible too.
I opened my mouth and dropped the black pill inside, swallowing it while with a massive gulp. As it fell down my throat, I felt a rising sense of dread wash over me. I felt the tingling of static electricity above me as my veins began glowing. In my ears, a ringing voice entered.
"So, you've finally embarked on the legacy of Immortals." The voice seemed to be disappointed, like an elder that watched a child stumble his way into a bad decision. "No regular man can handle more than four energies, Junior."
I grumbled and grit my teeth as I felt my body collapsing from within. "W-who are you calling Junior…?!"
"You are as old as the heavens, and as green as the pastures… it was inevitable you'd surpass such a limit eventually. Now then… survive this, Great Dragon." The elderly voice seemed to almost smile with his line, mercifully or sadistically I could not tell. I braced for impact as I felt strong bursts of lighting building up around me.
