*crash!!!*

"WOAH!!!!"

The lady whose reading the book became pale as heard a large object fell down near her location.

She immediately turned her flashlight to where the sound came from.

"Well that nearly gave me a heart attack."

She found out that it was a collapsed door that fell down.

*munch*

She started to ate her junk food again while holding the flashlight.

Chapter 1: Welcome Home

"Oh wow!"

"I got a price."

"Hi there.

I'm Saffron Rouge, I'm twenty four, or maybe older?

ANYWAY!

At my age I'm the bread winner of the household.

Since my parents can't move anymore due to an illness, and right now I'm currently working on something.

It's just amazing to find everything you need, IF you know where to look of course.

But..

Right now I'm on a break!

It's funny that I found some food while I was scavenging around for some parts for my project.

Yey!

So I found ten cans of beans, half a kilo of rice (for some reason), and some stuff."

She's doing her own narration, while scouting and salvaging parts from cars.

"And it's never been easy for me since my parents doesn't want my hands to get dirty.

But I told them that I can do it, and that I can help them."

While walking around Saffron  found a foot print going to the river bank.

She tracked the footprint as it stopped at a ticketing booth.

*ggrrrrr*

"Oi!"

She was surprised to see a stray dog seeking shelter from the gust.

"Easy now, easy."

"Here have some bread."

The dog ate the bread that she gave.

Suddenly.

A truck stopped a couple of blocks away from her location.

The dog immediately ran away, as the sound gets louder.

Saffron positioned under the washed out debris and pulled out her dagger just in case she get busted.

Not before long she saw two soldiers patrolling the area.

The first soldier searched all the building for any sign of survivors.

As the soldier stopped near the debris.

He radioed the other one.

*kkrr*

"There's nothing here."

"Proceeding to another-"

"Wait."

As the guy on the radio responded.

"What is it."

*kkrrr*

"I found a bag of wires, and some obsolete car parts."

The soldier replied.

*kkrr*

"Leave it, we don't need stuff like that, I bet someone from a long time ago forgot that end died."

-said the guy from the radio

*kkrrkk*

*kkrrkk*

*kkrrkk*

"Bono to spore."

"Bono to spore."

Another voice transited on the radio.

The soldier immediately respond.

"This is spore, we can hear you loud and clear Bono."

"Are there any irregularities in your location."

- Bono

Suddenly a green light was lit around the perimeter signaling the leader that there's no irregularities.

The soldier responded to Bono.

"All spores are green Sir."

"Understood."

-Bono

*kkrkk*

"Permission to return to the roots."

The soldier asked.

"Permission granted. Bono out."

*kkrrkk*

Bono ended the transmission.

The soldier suddenly deployed a small helium balloon from his backpack.

Saffron looked at it slowly and saw the balloon was connected to a canister on the side of the backpack.

Suddenly the balloon emitted a yellow light and started to blink, at that moment all the green light started to fade one by one.

Saffron attempts to move quietly but she, heard footsteps getting louder and louder.

The soldier gave the signal to return.

As the sound of the truck faints Saffron took some precaution just ensure those guys are gone for good.

"Every time I go out, I always take my time to explore other places and this is not my first time that I went over my head."

- Saffron

After looking for other parts she started to erase her footprints.

"I know your getting bored already."

"Why am I so talkative?"

"Well it's because when your alone and there's no one else around you to share it.

You tend to store it, I mean keeping your feelings inside you.

But in the end if you keep doing it every single day, then those emotions will engulf you.

So.

That's the reason why I stole the narrating job from the narrator."

After arriving on her extraction point. She removed all the debris on top of her tricycle and putted all of the salvaged parts inside.

And left the abandoned city.
