She woke up slowly shielding her eyes from the bright sunshine through the full glass window of the room. It felt so good as she stretches her body on the bed. Last night was her dream come true and it was better than her fantasy ever.
The door opened,"Good morning wife, we have two choices for breakfast today. Which one would you like?"
"Morning husband, what choice do I have?"she asked.
"Ah....I have a full western breakfast delivered on the dining table now or me,"his devilish grin is getting to me again. This man is deadly to women.
"Don't joke around, it's early morning and I am starving,"she answered.
"Breakfast it is. Take your time in the shower, I've asked for a new entire for you today hanging in the wardrobe. I'll wait for you outside in order to avoid the temptation to join you,"he kissed her tomato red face and exit the room.
She got down from the bed but strange soreness at her private parts is making her quite uncomfortable walking around. She understood that Steven must have help her to clean since there are no stickiness between her legs. Luckily he has chosen a long high waist skirt with a white shirt with ruffles bow at the front, outsider won't see she is walking awkwardly. The hot shower relief her soreness a bit but it still didn't feel right. Instead of tying her hair into a bun today she decided to just plait it to go with the attire. Her mother in-law is right, she has to look nice for herself.
Steven was sipping his coffee while reading today's journal. He put it down when he saw she winced as she sat down,"Are you okay?"
"Never been better, just a bit sore,"she mumbles the last part with food already in her mouth.
"I was in a rush to settled everything last trip therefore I must apologised for not informing you about the car and the driver,"Steven explained.
"It's alright, I know the Maybach must be expensive. A colleague of mine was asking 101 questions on it otherwise I didn't even know the value of the transportation you have provided. I didn't want to scratch it or worst an accident so I understand,"somehow he didn't take it to heart but he did.
Steven look seriously at her,"YaoYao, you are engaged to me when I left for the trip and you are married to me now. I cherish you more than the car, I don't care if you wreck the car. Your safety is above everything, can you promise me you put yourself first when such situation arise."
She just nod her head obediently.
He went on to clarify,"Lucas is your driver but he is also trained to protect you. If in any case that you need me and you can't reach me, call Lucas or my brother. I have set their phone number as quick dial on your mobile beside mine. I have also put in the numbers of the family hot spring farmhouse if you need to talk to your grandparents, my cousin and my parents."
Suddenly YaoYao stop eating and start crying.
Steven was dumbstruck. What did he do? Maybe he should get her permission before fiddling with her phone? He stood up, kneel next to her chair and took her hand on her lap in his,"What's wrong sweetheart? I am sorry if I upset you but please don't cry."
She tried to stop her tears and ended up with hiccups,"I...hic...am not...hic....dreaming...hic...right? I have a....hic.... big family...hic...now. And you...hic...are really my husband right....hic....?"
Relief, he framed her face within his palms and kiss her,"You belong to me and I,you. If you need proof, I can take out our marriage registration."
That burst the romantic bubble floating in her head. She smack his arms,"Don't make fun of me!"
"Well, what is better proof than that?"he grinned.
"You sure you do not want to take the day off today?" that grin again! He is incorrigible.
"I was informed by my professor that your project is one of the biggest development project of the year hence the reason the university gladly accept the initial approved design as my graduation assignment. All eyes are on me,"she exhaled in exasperation.
Lukas sent her to the office as per the past week and Steven walk to his. She hope after all this they could enjoy a real honeymoon. Felix was in all-go mode and Steven office has come back with the finalised ideas for the entire quarter with a new Emperor Mall and Hotel as the center point; South and East remained an eatery and shopping area, the West is going to be a historical touristic point with Hutong homestay and a garden, last the north is going to be completely demolished to be a theme park. It finally set in how big is the entire project. The West will be solely develop by Lee Group due to their expertise in residential development. The rest will be up to HK architect.
"How can we complete this design within the next six month? Can we even come up with a draft for me to graduate?" she asked dejectedly.
"Don't worry, Steven told me about the agreement with University G just need the initial draft not the finalized to keep the suspense and avoid copycat. The draft is valid as long as it is verify by me and Emperor Mall,"Felix reassured me.
Right. Back at work and another pizza lunch.
"Wait up!"someone shouted as the elevator door is closing. By reflex, she pushed the open button repeatedly to hold for the late comer. If she knew it was Liliah, she would have push the close button instead.
"Thank you,"Lilah said but she didn't stop at that. "So I heard that you are driven to work the last week in your boyfriend's Maybach no less. What does your he do? Is he the same guy I saw last time? If he is, I would like to apologise to him again. Will he come to the reunion with you tomorrow evening?"
"Yes, it's his car and No, he is busy,"shouldn't she apologised to me instead, thought YaoYao as she answered.
