Chapter 81 - The end of the battle

"Sorry I woke you up while you were sleeping, but I still need you to conquer the universe."

Unfortunately, Arthur didn't have time to respond as a squad of 5 Zarans managed to break through the eastern defense line guarded by Edward.

They rushed to the center of the battlefield, carrying Emperor Klavis, William, Arthur, Eva and the 10 Emperor's guards who were still wounded.

"Four ranks (B-) and one rank (B+), but they are much weaker than Joker." William instinctively analyzed.

As they rushed at full speed, William could hear their squad leader giving orders.

"Don't worry about Emperor Klavis because he is obligated to honor the agreement made."

"Prepare to face two ranks (C-) and one rank (D-). You can ignore the ten ranks (B+) lying on the ground, it seems they can't even stand up." ordered the squad leader with a mocking smile.

"What luck, that we can capture the enemy command center while the famous Emperor Klavis's guard is there! We'll surely get some big rewards after this!"

"Do you think it was Joker who put the emperor's guard in such a state?"

"Without a doubt, even if he's dead that arrogant guy will have been useful after all!"

"Haha, looks like it's going to be an easy battle, boss!"

"Yeah, since they're in the center, they're definitely extremely important people to this army, so as soon as they're killed, the morale of the human army will collapse instantly!"

"Don't underestimate them or you'll die young! Hyre you take care of the human girl of rank (D-)!"

"It's as good as done, boss!"

"Ora and Kel you take care of the kneeling human of rank (C-)."

"Aye, aye, boss!"

"Mori you take care of the smiling young man of rank (C-)."

"Okay!"

"From my side I'll keep an eye on Emperor Klavis in case he loses his mind and doesn't respect the agreement."

Their discussion passed in a flash, even a rank (D+) could not understand anything about the conversation as it was so fast.

It was the power of having a higher thinking speed, because it allowed to think and transmit information in the body much faster.

This made it possible to speak extremely quickly while still being able to articulate. Of course, it is also necessary to be able to distinguish between each sound and understand them.

Very quickly, Ora and Kel, each armed with a spear, launched an attack on the newly resurrected Arthur.

Arthur drew his sword and narrowly blocked the two spears that were aimed at his neck and heart.

But soon Ora and Kel began to display all their spear techniques, putting Arthur in a difficult position.

The level of complicity reached by the two were of such a level that Arthur had the impression to be attacked by only one person

"Fulgur, come here, I know you're still here!"

A high-pitched, joyful cry rang out from the sky, and the next moment the enormous body of Fulgur appeared before the astonished eyes of all present.

At the same time, various other high-pitched, joyful shouts echoed in the sky.

It was the rest of the lightning bird tribe!

In a short time they spread out over the battlefield, then collaborated with the soldiers and the bear tribe, further increasing the pressure the Zarans were feeling.

The young Zaran squad commander who had arrived in front of Klavis glanced in Arthur's direction at the arrival of his new partner.

"Just a (C-) rank animal, nothing to worry about," he thought.

At the same time, he watched Hyre draw his bow and shoot an arrow at the young woman.

But just as she could not avoid her fate, he heard:

"Odysseus, save her."

William's promotion to rank (C-) had shortened the resurrection time considerably, allowing Odysseus to reappear much sooner than expected!

In response to William's order, an earthen shield was erected in front of the young woman. Thus the arrow shot by Hyre could only enter the wall slightly, causing only a slight disturbance in it.

However, this was not the end yet!

A spear made of earth rose from the ground and pierced directly into Hyre's throat.

Hyre could only drop her bow to cover the blood loss with both hands, but it was a futile effort as she fell to the ground the next second, the whites of her eyes already visible.

"Hyre!" shouted the Zarane squad leader in rage as he saw his subordinate die before his wide eyes.

"Boss..." she replied in a weak, muffled voice, her face incredulous, not understanding how she could have died in such a way. Her red face looked much paler as a pool of blood formed beneath her.

He was soon able to pinpoint the culprit in this story: a bear over 5 meters tall, standing in front of the young woman.

He was armed with a huge axe made of earth.

But he was not at the end of his surprises because the next moment he felt something coming from somewhere else.

Indeed, the Zaran squad leader saw the smiling young human holding his subordinate by the throat with one hand.

At first he thought that the smiling young man was rather weak, but who would have thought that the one with the most friendly and ordinary appearance was the most frightening.

The squad leader met the smiling young man's gaze, and then he could discern some movement at his lips.

"There is a famous saying that goes around among humans: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth."

At the end of his sentence, a sharp noise was heard in Mori's throat.

*Crack*

It didn't take long for the Zarane squad leader to guess that the sound was coming from the young human's forcibly broken neck.

"Mori..." he said in a voice first filled with helplessness, then with bottomless anger as he looked at the young man.

Confronting him with the same expression from the beginning, the young man threw Mori at him like a common object.

Catching up with his recently deceased subordinate, he had to back up several dozen meters due to the kinetic force.

However, although his eyes revealed intense hatred, he was still the leader of an elite squad, so he made the most logical decision in this situation.

"This mission is a failure, Ora and Kel disengage immediately!"

"Aye, aye, Chief!" replied the two not far away, immediately relieving the pressure that Arthur and Fulgur were under.

William wanted to move, but he was beaten to it by another person.

"Klavis, what does this mean? Have you forgotten the pact?" the squad leader asked in panic.

"The pact is just a piece of paper, the current situation just benefited both sides, but now it's time for humanity to reclaim Teloria."

"If you really make a move, our experts of rank (A-) and above will all make a move! Your empire will be destroyed immediately!" replied the Zaran squad leader as panic invaded his mind.

"Young Zaran commander, the situation has not changed for 100,000 years. Humanity continues to lose territory to a few rodents, now it's time to clean up."

"You're only adding to the humans' own destruction!"

"Do you really think humans have been idle for so long? Look around you!" replied Klavis, raising his voice for the first time, which greatly intimidated the Zaran squad leader.

As panic took over his mind, he looked to the west, hoping for a miracle.

But all he could see was Charles standing over the corpses of many Zaran experts of rank (C-) and above, as he continued to lead the human units from that position.

With even more panic he looked to the south, and saw Frederick finishing off a friend of his who was a powerful warrior of rank (C+)!

To the east, Edward was in the air in front of a corvette. He broke through all the windows in the front and slaughtered the entire crew with his skeletons.

To the north, Victoria was with the son of Odysseus, assisting the lower ranking soldiers and generals to build up their strength while minimizing losses.

Not to mention the actions of the generals under Klavis who were literally slaughtering every enemy in their path, as well as the corvettes and frigate from the human empire that were destroying enemy ships one after the other

Despite the panic mixed with madness and despair, the Zaran squad leader could still detect a common thread in all these fronts: without exception, the Zarans were being dominated one-sidedly.
