Chapter 24 - The world of beasts

[Internal William point of view]

Around me was this vast familiar dark space.

I let out a small sigh as I thought about Victoria's beautiful appearance. Unfortunately my appearance is so ordinary, black hair, brown eyes, normal face, there is only my height, which has increased to 1 meter 80 since I reached rank (E-), which is a small advantage.

Either way, all my stats have jumped incredible again since Victoria and all the Patriarchs submitted to me and I promoted them to General. Indeed, I copied Victoria's [Super Rare Body] talent as well as many skills from the Patriarchs.

Plus, the thing I dreaded didn't happen. It appears that [Super Rare Corps] does not negate [Uncommon Corps] bonuses, so the bonuses are now added to each other.

The currently known rarity grades are:

Common, Uncommon, Rare and Super Rare.

Respectively, they allow a bonus of 10%, 20%, 50%.

I have never encountered a [Super Rare Corps] that specializes in a single stat, so I cannot know the percentage bonus, but it must be at least 100%. Therefore, Victoria's talent is probably the weakest among all the Super Rare talents.

My guess is that my body allows me to layer all talents as long as they're not in the same rarity grade. The only exception would be a talent like Victoria, very particular, which would work as a sort of bonus.

So if now I have a new super rare talent that adds 100% strength, then my total stat bonus from talents would be 170%.

Now I am very curious about my current strength after acquiring Victoria's talent. But I find that my stats page is getting bigger and bigger, so there is a need to optimize it right now.

"System, optimize the status page interface for me, then display it." "

My strength is now unimaginable for a normal (D-) rank, Victoria's talent as well as the skills of the Patriarchs allowed me to increase my combat power by at least 50%, however, the increase is not Not that easy.

If I face Victoria again, it will only take a few hits to defeat her.

However, I know that there are still countless talents in the human race who are stronger than me right now.

Anyway, my talent is the growth type and it's the kind of growth that is destined to go beyond all logic.

And the time before reaching the top of the human race is not that far away. When we get to the capital, I will be able to recruit a total of 336 generals as well as 3 supreme generals who will have their own generals.

But this is not the key point, it is only when all the generals start recruiting that the true potential of my talent and its synergy with the system will explode!

As I was lost in my thoughts, a white flash appeared in my vision and the next moment I walked through it.

I appear standing in the middle of a vast forest.

"System, information about this world?" I asked as I kept my vigilance.

Ding

[Response to Host: The host is currently in the beast world. This parallel world has an infinite area. The lowest rank beast in this world is of rank (D-)]

"Infinite area? Is this even theoretically possible? And the weaker beast is of rank (D-)? Doesn't that mean that any beast of some sort is capable of destroying any city in the Northern Kingdom on its own? I was surprised, this kind of world is far beyond my own cognition.

[The world of beasts is a constantly developing universe and has been since the birth of Chaos. Even the strongest of the Host's predecessors never got to see the end of it. They also failed to conquer this world because the power of some beasts is beyond comprehension.]

I took some time to digest this information, especially the one about the power of the beasts in this world, but I don't think my talent is inferior to my predecessors.

Although I have never seen these beasts before, I am sure that one day they will all be under my control.

"The world is so unfair, humans have to work very hard and put their lives on the line to be less than one percent successful in reaching this rank in their lives. Meanwhile, these beasts are naturally born with such power. I said with a solemn tone.

[The host need not be jealous of these beasts, although their benefits far outweigh humans, they lack the potential of humans.]

"Can I take it that it is more difficult for them to reach ranks higher than their lineage?" "

[The host has correctly deduced. Does the host want to receive a reward?]

"Can I still get a reward for this?" "

[Affirmative. Confirm receipt?]

" Yes. "

[Reward being sent…]

[Awarded.]

[The host gets a magic kiss from the system.]

...

A brief silence then passed to confirm that I had not misheard.

"A magic kiss, really?" I whisper unconsciously.

"What are the effects of this award, if there is any still?" "

[System magic kiss: Spreads the host's scent for hundreds of miles.]

"Is that a joke?" "

[This system is no joke.]

"So this is from your creator?" "

[Insufficient authority to meet this request.]

Hearing the usual cold, mechanical voice, I knew I couldn't get any more information.

Besides, I couldn't go any further either, because in front of me was a beast.

"System, analyze this beast for me." "

Breed: Wolf of the woods

Rank: (D-)

HP 1800/1800

MP 1440/1440

Strength: 180

Agility: 250 (+125)

Endurance: 150

Intelligence: 180

Wisdom: 165

Talent:

Wind Affinity (Rare)

The second I noticed it, the wolf came out of the bushes and accelerated in my direction.

I simply put my left hand on my scabbard, while I hold the stick of the sword sticking out with my right hand.

A moment later, the wolf enters my field of attack and jumps in my direction showing its fangs. At this moment I make a movement imperceptible to the naked eye with my right arm then I shift slightly to the right.

The body of the wolf still in the air passes me then crashes to the ground, showing no more signs of movement.

With a single sword stroke, a rank (D-) was destroyed. Although his speed was very good, next to me it was just too slow, like he was moving in slow motion.

Ding

[Detected that a Timber Wolf (D-) has been defeated.]

[Awarded with 10,000exp (+5000).]

[Affinity to wind (Common) acquired.]

A small sphere of green light came out of the wolf's body, before dispersing into several small green streams that were heading in my direction.

Several streams surround me as some begin to invade my body and others infiltrate my mind. Suddenly new knowledge about the wind sprang up out of nowhere.

I obtained a few techniques that use the power of the wind to increase my attack and movement speed very slightly. A method of summoning the wind and using it also appeared in my mind.

At the same time, my body lightened slightly, as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

This talent increases my agility by 10%, however, that's its only use. The techniques just learned are almost useless at row (D-) and I can just use the wind to dry my hair.

"System, explain the situation to me." "

[Response to host, Soul King talent is almost useless against these beasts. The most accessible way for the host is to slay a large number of beasts with the same talent so that they can get the original talent.]

"Most useful? So you're suggesting that there are other ways? "

[The host guessed correctly, a much more efficient solution is also available.]
