I sighed. This was no fun. Ever since the kingdom was on lockdown, I haven't been able to talk to anyone outside the castle. The builders here, who were ordered by the king, (my daddy) had to build walls just in case any danger came.

And yes, I didn't have any siblings. Sad, isn't it? I used to watch the villagers play with their younger or older sisters and brothers. I would have to bite my lip to keep myself from crying. Daddy went away on a mission last week, so I never saw him around the castle anymore.

But he didn't come back yet. But winter just started, and mommy decided that I stop wearing dresses and skirts. Now all I wear every day is a sweater, long sleeve t-shirt, jeans, and comfy socks. As always I was spoiled.

Sure, I was lucky. I loved my parents, and they loved me. But I wanted them to see I didn't love them because of their gifts, but because of who they are. I smiled for the first time in about...let's see...2 years? Yeah, 2 years. Oh, and I'm 7-yrs old by the way.

"I'M SLEEPING!" I yelled. [Geez, but at least they knocked. But still.*sigh*] "Come in." I grumbled. It was a maid with reddish-brownish hair. Her dark green eyes shined before me.

"Your Highness, it's time for you to take a bath." I nodded slowly. [Her eyes are still shining...wait. Is she excited to bathe me?] Well, all the maids are. I was so scared that I pulled my light curly brown hair behind me.

"Oh...um. Anyways, let's take a bath, shall we?" [Wait...what?] She scooped me up and ran to the bathroom in my room. "H-hey!" She eagerly tossed my clothes who went up into the air. "Let's have fun, okay princess?"

"I WILL MAKE SURE YA GET FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!"
