Chapter 78 - Chapter 78: Inner Chamber

After placid silence had returned once again to the rumbled shrine, the fallen warriors got up from the ground only to find their captain lying unconscious on the corroded slab in front of the colossal bowl before reviving him using Agius' sheathed sword which they used in proding his body that slowly responded to the incessant poking received on his weak body which rose up from deep slumber. He was aided back to his feet by Agius and Ginarius who placed his frail hands on their shoulders slowly conveying him to the steep entrance of the shrine along with the seven other comrades who followed behind them until they left the abandoned shrine to the their previous desolate shelter and lucky for them, it was still daylight when they evacuated themselves out of the shrine which met them as soon as their weary feet stepped into the sunlight.
