Elymius alighted softly on the coarse soil in front of the huge iron gates with his warriors transforming immediately but were caught by Gasius and his cohorts who had followed them behind, chasing them down with unwavering resolve all the way from the dry mountains totally oblivious of a trap laid by Hipolytus who had hatched the plot with his accomplice, Ragnok to ensnare the approaching enemy with their army which had partially repaired the defense perimeter as well as catered for wounded and dead warriors while Elymius and his band of warriors who were safeguarding the stronghold, were in hot pursuit of the escapades.
Unknown to the enemy, they had carefully hidden their warriors clearly out of sight inside the nearby bushes including the fort where sixteen Agekians were patiently waiting for the signal from their commander to come out from their hiding place in order to ambush the vulnerable enemy.
