"Uh, headache or hangover?" I asked Mom after giving me a medicine and coffee.
"It's just a hangover. Sweety." She replied and passed the the cup to the maid I'd talked last night.
I finished the food that Mom brought in my room. I need to take a bath because the class start after an hour.
I'm in the car when I received a message from Charrie.
[I'm going to skip one class. I'm a bit sleepy, just taking a nap.]
[Okay.] I replied even though it's not okay.
"So, you are alone?" Daile asked when I saw him in at corridor.
"No, Charrie said she will skip one class."
"Huh? But she texted me that she can't go to school."
My jaw dropped and immediately take my phone.
[Are you sure you just gonna skip one class?] I sent it to her. But how many hours passed. I didn't received any message from her.
This girl is slightly a liar.
"See? She will not enter any class today?" It's Daile again. He's my companion here in cafeteria.
"Yeah, your right." I gave up and paused from eating. I faced him and realized something.
"Your breaktime is different from mine. Why are you here?"
He crossed his arm. "Moriya, can't you see? I want to accompany you?"
A small chuckles out from my mouth. "Why? Because Charrie is not here? Daile, I can eat alone. So don't waste your time in studying just to be with me."
He released his hands and touched mine. "Mori, do you remember? I am your suitor. And you can't tell me to stop doing this."
I looked to our hands and felt something unusual. This is not so romantic. I slowly remove my hands from him and smiled. I should not show to him that I am mad.
"What's your course again?" I questioned trying to calm myself.
"Civil engineering." He simply replied.
"That was one of the hardest course, Daile."
He chuckled. "No. If you study hard."
Boastful.
"Do you think you are studying hard?" I'm asking this question because I want him to leave me alone so he can attend to his class.
"Yes."
"Really? So why you still wasting your time here?"
"It's not wasting. It's investing." He answered.
"Investing? How come?"
He look at me like there's something wrong. "Mori, it's been how many months since we started dating."
"And?"
"And you promised me to be my girlfriend when you turned eighteen."
I looked at him and slowly remembered what I'd told to him. I promised to him nine months ago.
That's was a terrible promise I made. I must think first.
"You know...you can forget my promise." I stated and his lips become thin.
"Moriya, that's crazy."
"I know." I answered and drink my water.
"Moriya you are already eighteen."
I put down my glass and can't control my madness. "It is my first day of being eighteen years old. Why don't you let me breathe first and think about it.
"What?! I wait you for nine months."
"And that nine months of dating. I see you as a friend." A words from my mind are released now.
He stand up and made me shocked. "How can you say that?!" He exclaimed making the other student look on us.
I never been seen him mad like that. All I know, he is the most caring friend I met.
"Can you please calm down." I Stand up too.
He looked to students seeing on us and faced me after. "Mori, I waited this chance, since we were friends. I don't know what a spell you gave to me making me so inlove with you."
Now, he is calm. I took a deep breath and will eat our distance when he already walk away and left me standing.
I shout his name and didn't look back. I feel so embarrassed. Everyone is looking at me. I looked at them too and rolled my eyes.
I need to leave this place before I hear a bashful comments.
"Did you saw Daile?"
I went to engineering building after my class. I need to talk to him to clarify things and of course to apologize.
"He already left." One of his classmates answered.
"Are you sure?" I am not convinced.
"Yes." He replied and looked at my legs. I should not wear a skirt today. Most of the student in engineering building are men.
"Thank you. And what are you looking at?"
He transferred his eyes from my legs to my face.
"Nothing." He smirked and left me.
"Ugly. Maniac." I shouted.
My face is blank as I enter the car. I don't know what's on my mind. Why feel something different toward Daile.
Like there's something wrong. Also with my clothes. I think a got a wrong outfit today. I should wear a pants or jeans when I'm going at engineering building. So that, if ever I met that maniac I am protected and covered.
"Miss?" I stopped from thinking when I heard my driver on the front seat.
"Yes?"
"We are going to your dad's office." He said and noticed that our route is changing.
"Huh? I'm tired. I need to rest."
"But Miss. He said that I must bring you there."
Must? Is there something important Dad. Why today? I'm tired and can't understand myself right now.
"Okay. Whatever."
My driver smiled. "Thank you miss because if I'm not bring you there. I'm fired. You know, I have a family with four—"
"Four kids." I continued.
That's the line he used to say if I'm going to say no.
We went out of the car and go inside our building. We continue walking ahead to the elevator. My dad's office is in sixteenth floor.
I lazily positioned my self inside the elevator and kept checking on my phone. Expecting for Charrie's reply last six hours ago.
But there's no any message I received.
I sighed and the elevator opened at the tenth floor. I look who's going inside and I saw someone makes me froze.
For the second time, I saw him again. Wearing a black long sleeve rolled until his elbow. His brown eyes that met mine. He is the guy at the bar.
I was drunk last night but I can still remember his face.
He go inside the elevator with a girl. Wearing a pencil skirt and sleeveless top. She's holding a folder and stand beside me making a gap with the guy.
I look at the guy but his face are remain straight. I want to ask him why he's here. Maybe he is an employee?
In a just minute he went out of the elevator together with the girl. Left me clueless about his name and what is he doing here.
I smiled and realized something. It is about chasing. It would be easy for me to find him, if I found out that he is working for our company. I will ask dad to find that in our company.
"Miss Moriya. Why you smiling?"
I didn't answered my driver and went out first in the elevator as we reached the sixteenth floor.
