Megan took a sip of her expensive wine as she hung up the call on Jonas. She took another sip gently and smiled, feeling powerful and important.
She went to her sofa and took a sit. "You look really happy today" Mrs Kennedy said as she descended from the stairs. Mrs Kennedy is a woman in her late 40s, have a fair skin with an average look, and really tall, but her shape is disfigured, she has a familiar smile with Ashley which makes it obvious they are related.
"Well, I should be. Everything is going exactly as planned" Megan giggled and took another sip.
"It should, we have been planning this for over a year. Ashley was eliminated as planned, I see no reason we are wasting more time"
"It isn't my fault, Jonas doesn't like me and not ready to get married. But that doesn't mean he won't, he won't have a choice but to especially after his conversation with Dwayne."
"Don't worry, everything will go well after all I betrayed my best friend because of this, we just have to be a little patient" Megan reassured.
"Do you wonder how she is doing? Perhaps if she is dead or not?"
"I don't, but I think you should know better after all she is your niece"
"I don't have a niece, that good for nothing isn't my niece. She is just the epitome of trouble in my life, and thankfully she is gone" Mrs Kennedy smirked.
"After you get married to Jonas and divorce him, take half of his riches. A new life begins for the both of us" Mrs Kennedy said and poured herself a glass.
"Cheers to a new life then" Megan said and raised her cup.
"Cheers" Mrs Kennedy repeated and cling the glass together.

"Ashley?" Jonas called with uncertainty. He looks closer and he saw her clearly.
The woman in his hands is the same woman who broke his heart, his trust, he trusted her, and she betrayed him.
Ashley stared at Jonas surprised, she couldn't believe her eyes. "It is really Jonas" She thought at the second glare.
How did she end up meeting with him? In this situation?
"Ashley" Smith said and walk to them. "Thank you for helping her" He said politely. "But can you please let her go now?" Smith asked, not satisfied with the fact that Jonas hands was still on Ashley's body.
Jonas looked at him then at Ashley, he chuckled and removed his hand, he put his hands inside his pocket.
"You seem to have found yourself another guy to break his heart" Jonas uttered while Smith looked at him weirdly. What does he mean? Does he know Ashley?
Ashley bowed her head disappointed at Jonas statement. "How long has it been? Six months? I wasn't expecting you to be doing this fine, but you are, with another guy to cheat on right?"
"Excuse me, I don't know how you know her, but I won't allow you to talk harshly to her" Smith defended, Ashley holds Smith hand and shook her head.
Seeing this, makes Jonas more angry.
"Let's just go" Ashley said calmly. What? Is that all she is going to say after six months, after betraying him.
Is she not going to ask for his forgiveness, does she know how hard it has been since she left.
"But..." Smith retorted but was cut off by Ashley. "Please" She said then faced Jonas.
"It is good to see you again" She smiled which makes Jonas more angry.
"Well, it isn't. I feel disgusted seeing you, you irritate me" Jonas said and left them.
"That jerk" Smith grinned about to go after him, but Ashley hold him back.
"Just let him be" Ashley said looking at Jonas as he walked away.
Smith looked at her and noticed she was looking at Jonas, he clenched his fist. It wasn't because she was looking at him that makes him angry but because of the emotions in her eyes.

Instead of going to the bar to drink, Jonas went out of the bar furiously.
He was putting on a dangerous look, that clearly shows how furious and pissed he is right now.
"Sir" Joyce called surprised. She had to stay in the car because Jonas wanted to drink alone, but it hasn't been more than five minutes since he went in, and he is back already.
"Start the car" Jonas uttered.
"But sir"
"Start the fucking car" Jonas roared while Joyce flinched and quickly entered the car and turn on the engine.
Jonas was about to enter but stopped when he saw Smith and Ashley heading for their car.
Smith was holding Ashley by her shoulder, like a husband supporting his sick wife.
He gritted his teeth and entered his car, he couldn't bear to watch the scene.
It has only been six months, but she has already moved on.
"Joyce" He called. "Yes sir" Answered Joyce who was driving.
"I want you to find me an information about someone"
"Who?"
"Ashley Waves"
Smith and Ashley got home late, after the long drive.
"Thank you for today" Ashley expressed her gratitude but feeling down.
"It's my pleasure" Smith replied. "But Ashley, are you ok?" He asked worried, she has been down since she saw the man earlier.
He tried starting a conversation in the car but no matter what he said, she didn't reply.
"Yea" She said and head in. Smith balled his hand into a fist angrily, he knows she isn't ok, but she won't talk to him.
And that was because of the man they saw earlier, who the heck is he?
Ashley went to her room, ignoring everyone who greeted her on her way to her room. She doesn't have strength to reply them, not after meeting Jonas.
She sat on her bed, removed her shoe and wristwatch.
She opened her drawer to put her wristwatch when she saw a bracelet given to her by Jonas.
She picked and placed it at her chest then start crying, it all hurts
She really missed him a lot, she wished things could go back to how it was, but it was a hopeless dream.
