Chapter 28 - Chapter Twenty Seven: Covetous Carnage

She remembered everything.

Meeting Del and their twelve months together. Promises they made to each other as young children. Why didn't he tell her sooner? It made so much sense now. Why he kidnapped her and why he seems to have these feelings for her. It was such a shock. Silla was mostly amazed by the fact that even after all that time he still remembered her much less had feelings for her.

As for how she felt...

She was still wary of him and his overwhelming affections but now they didn't seem to bother her as much. Sometimes she even found herself blushing more often...

It seemed her memories weren't the only thing that came back; her emotions she had at the time rushed back into her head too. However, that didn't mean she carried the same emotions as he did. It was more a love of friendship and familial means if anything. But Declan didn't know that: as he was practically glowing when she told him she remembered if anything he only became more engrossed with her entire being. Even more worrisome he was expecting her to return his feelings sooner than expected.

Stepping inside their room she watched Declan as he sprawled himself out on the bed. It was almost eleven and he still hadn't gotten out of bed yet. Not that she blamed him, he rarely slept more than five hours in a single week. Part of the reason why he always had terrible dark circles around his eyes. She was glad that he was finally getting rest. Before regaining her memories, she always wondered about the dark circles and lack of sleep but now she had an inkling as to why he did what he did.

He was asleep when they were separated oh so long ago...

Though despite the circumstances he still needed to have a somewhat normal schedule not staying up at strange hours and then laying in bed during the day. Quietly walking over to the bed she gently shook him in an attempt to wake him however the only reaction she was able to get out of him was him mumbling and rolling away.

Frustrated she shook him a little harder and he opened his eyes just to close them once again. "You're hopeless. What am I supposed to do to eat you out of bed?" She complained. Immediately, his closed eyes blinked open to gaze at her mischievously his lips curving into a small smirk. Silla only furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"...Kiss me."

Her eyes widened. Out of all the horrid things, he could ask of her. Why that? Ever since she kissed him back for the first time he couldn't keep to himself it seemed.

Her big blue eyes blinked at him and paused for a moment; completely spacing out.

Though he quickly became confused when she finally gave in without as much of a fight. Before he knew it, she had placed her lips against his own. His green eyes were wide with shock. He couldn't do anything as he lay completely frozen on the spot and she could feel his heart going into overdrive as she laid upon his chest.

Eventually parting he spoke. "Hey... I v'as z'inking of having another little engagement party; just for us. One z'ats a little more private," he murmured as he ran his fingers through her hair.

"What for?" Silla asked befuddled.

"Just cause... and you got your memories back. Besides v'e are getting married soon so v'e should celebrate," He smirked. She had the sneaking suspicion that he just wanted to celebrate the fact that she remembered him but she wasn't sure.

"Can I have my friends come too? I want them to meet you since they didn't really get the chance during the engagement party," She requested.

Groaning he looked back at her. "Hmm... As long as z'ey don't cause any trouble or try to take you a'vay from me." He spoke slightly irritated.

Soon Silla left the room to go eat while Declan started planning and invited the guests. From what she heard they would be going out on the upper banks and take a trip in a fancy boat owned by him. How dreamy.

Getting out of the shower she dressed myself in a warm yet thin dress; comfort over beauty one could say. "Hey! Don't go out like z'at!" Declan's deep voice startled her.

"Why?" She slightly turned her head; the front side of her body still not facing him. He was standing with a fluffy white towel in his hands as he stood by the doorway ready to leave. "You v'ill catch a cold if you go out v'hile your hair is still v'et," He added. Striding over to her, he came up behind Silla and gently took the towel to her head as he dried and massaged her hair with the towel. It felt so nice she couldn't help but let out a content sigh.

Declan joyfully ruffled her hair to dry it more seemingly enjoying it more than she did with a rather gleeful smile on his face. Although he suddenly halts his movements while he stares intently at her and she catches sight of his gaze as he looks away uneasily. Confused Silla turns around only to see the small blush on his face. She had never seen him blush like that as small as it was. He was almost never flustered but lately she was getting the better of him.

Silla stared at him curiously, swiveling her hair. "What...?"

"Y-Your... I am seeing-" He waves his palm over his torso, and she looked at him quizzically.

"Huh?"

Looking down she saw her thin dress practically see through.

Oh, Gods.

She quickly closed her eyes in embarrassment. When she got out of the shower she must not have patted herself dry enough seeing as the fabric clung to her from the droplets of water. With her eyes still screwed closed, she felt Declan's presence as he wrapped his jacket around her body. "You can wear z'is until it dries," he offered.

"Uh... T-Thanks..." She quickly slipped her hands inside his jacket and wrapped it around her. Even though it was much too big for her.

"C'mon lets go. V'e're going to be late." He spoke taking her to the holocraft taking off soon after.

After a long drive she arrived and it was dark and almost midnight the ride being rather pleasant as she was able to take a quick nap. The inner city was connected to a large waterway that supplied electricity and she guessed that was where the boat was going to be.

Once on the beautiful completely black pod like carrier half of the people were already flat out drunk. Still she was surprised that Declan let her out of the mansion. Of course he was on her tail half of the time, but it was nice to see other people for once.

Silla knew that murders happened all around her frankly quite often- most of them the courtesy of her fiancé. She hadn't gotten anywhere near another male besides Portio in months. He was the only male employee allowed in her vicinity. Not that she truly cared or wanted another mans attention but Declan just liked to scare them off way too much for comfort. Often is the most brutal ways.

In front of them George first appeared giving them congratulations. "I still can't believe your getting married," Zelan cried tears of joy and sorrow.

"I can't believe a respectable and sane woman actually likes him," George joked much to Declan's displeasure as a large frown made its way to his face as it did everyone else's. All the guests gave him a look of disapproval shaking their heads, and Zelan just smacked him on the back of the head with a thwack.

"What don't look at me like that." George watched at everyone gave him a glare.

Katya sighed and shook her head. "He's just saying that we don't really understand what you see in him, dear. Don't get me wrong he is attractive, I can see how the female population looks at him every time he passes by- but you know he can be a real crazy," Katya spoke to which Zelan nodded.

"Anyways... If you really like him- the psychotic deranged human being that he is- then go for it. I mean it's too late to run away anyways," Clovis added in.

"Pft... Clovis don't set a bad example it's never too late to change your mind honey. Though as long as your happy that's all that matters, love," Zelan cut in reassuring her... Sort of.

On the outside Del looked as stern as he usually does but inside she could tell he was a raving.

Silla sweat dropped at the additional drop dead gorgeous tight lipped over the top fake smile. Not only was he sadistic, but he was by far the evilest of them all despite his angelic appearance.

Silla sat down rubbing her creased forehead. Why did she ever think this was a good idea? All her friends were just as insane as her fiancé was and they knew how to push all this mans buttons. She continued to drink her red wine and relax.

Beside the first few trips the party started to go along just fine and then she noticed someone she had never seen before entire through the door connecting the rest of the abode. Did they have a stowaway? Silla had never seen this woman before, and they only invited close friends and family.

"Oh my God, Declan?" Her sudden voice surprised everyone but Silla as called out. So at least someone knew this woman.

Everyone dragged their gazes in the direction of the voice, and to everyone's utter discomfort, this woman - was apparently uninvited based off of Declan's face. She was dressed in a beige gown that swept the floor as she walked, her matching colored heels peeking out beneath the lace fabric at each step she takes. Her hair is nearly braided in a crown, and her makeup is mild, almost non existent. Now that Silla is able to see her in a bright room, she has a baby face and big brown eyes.

Silla looks at Declan, hoping to read his facial expression but as per typical, it gives nothing away. "It's nice to see you." She smiles, but he doesn't return her greetings, and Silla finally notices a shift in his countenance as a quick wave of displeasure washes over his face.

Why did it seem like all their moments together were always ruined?

The strange woman's eyes drift to Silla and her bright beam slowly wavers. She could tell from her expression that she's bothered by her presence and Silla couldn't say the feeling wasn't mutual.

"I am happy to see you, Del. I really am," the lady continues. Slight endearment in her brown eyes, however, when he doesn't respond to her statement, she shifts her focus back to Silla and the gleam was gone in a flash.

"Hi, I saw you at the engagement party, right?" Her eyes shone with disgust.

She nodded. "Yeah, I guess you did..."

"I'm Shea." She attempts to keep her fake smile for her.

"And you?"

"Silla," she responded reluctantly, looking away from the woman instantly. Her attitude probably came off a bit strange since Declan glances at her with a concerned expression. He tears his eyes away from the dance floor, and Shea awkwardly turns her gaze away before looking back at them.

"Uh enjoy your night guys... Del, I hope we can have a talk?" She trails off unsure.

At this he finally speaks, but the words are so politely painful that it would have been better if he had not said anything at all. "No," he replies with a blank look. Silla can see the clear look of heart break and disappointment on her and strangely it felt good as her features changed and she nods sadly turning away. Quickly shooting a glare her way as she leaves.

Although she can't help but wonder why Declan dislikes her so much. As soon as she left other guests quickly surrounded them once again and congratulating them and giving gifts. The most noticeable guest being Silla's old friend from the bar Kael, the bouncer who could be a tad too touchy at times. He was mostly known for harassing the female staff at the bar.

She was surprised he was here...

Declan really did invite everyone she knew...

"Hey Silla nice to see you again. I got you some of your favorite wine." Kael greeted her lifting up a bag with his left hand but was stopped by Declan suddenly snatching it.

"Uh... Thanks Kael." She replied awkwardly as the green eyed man beside her casually inspected it.

Kael smirked and bent down towards her. "And what do I get in return~?"

She looked back up at Kael while tilting her head. "What do you mean?"

He glanced over to Declan, who suddenly looked livid as he froze on the spot looking like a crazed ex convict looking to seek revenge. It seemed Declan really didn't like her conversing with other people that weren't him as he retreated back into hiding.

Poor Silla...

He was the kind of man that would lock her away in the safety of his mansion and always keep her within reach. After they get married, she's never gonna see the sun again...

Declan looked beyond nerved. He hid in the shadows a dark look in his sharp green eyes that now seemed to glow from the building madness. Seeing this Kael was starting to enjoy ticking the man off his abundant ego taking over. "Maybe a little peck on the cheek for my deed~?"

Silla deadpanned at him. Not noticing her fiancé had stopped to glare intensely at the ma from the shadows. "No... But nice try." She laughed beautifully truly getting a kick out of it as she patted him on the shoulder before walking away to go greet her other friends.

Disappointed but glad to see Declan fuming, Kael made eye contact with the silent man and they both had an intense stare off. He broke it by smirking at the green eyed man giving him his middle finger the said fiancé growling at him.

"It was nice seeing you again-" Kael spoke taking her soft hand and kissing the top of it. A blush breaking out on her face as she went to the balcony for fresh air. Sighing Silla looked at the stars shining bright in the sky a certain green eyed male invading her thoughts.

"V'hy are you blushing?" A voice suddenly questioned from behind the girl causing her to jump in shock.

"It's a bit hot inside..." She trailed off while looking at the direction the deep voice came from. In the shadows a figure stood, and she already knew who it was.

"Then... V'hat did Kael do? Did he do z'is?" He reached out his hand and stroked her cheek before slowly moving his hand down to her chin. She only blushed harder and slapped his hand away, but that didn't stop him.

She checked to see if he was drunk or a bit tipsy like herself but he wasn't...

"What?! No! He-" She stuttered.

He met her embarrassed gaze. He didn't believe her and his face was showing it. "Silla don't lie. You're getting red again."

Indeed, a small blush was appearing on her cheek but not from Kael. His assertive attitude and unbuttoned shirt were giving her dangerous thoughts. Silla narrowed her eyes at the suspecting man and used her hands to cover her embarrassment.

"Or did he do z'is?" Soon she felt warm kisses on her ear that traveled down to her neck and to her jawline as he continued stroking her cheek. Silla rapidly stepped back away from him with a face as red as a tomato. Her neck and jawline tingled, and she could still feel his touch from where he had kissed her. What point was he trying to make?

Looked back she saw the man sitting on the floor while biting his lip, a satisfied smirk appearing on his lips. He got up and started approaching her which immediately widened the girls big blue doe eyes. "Or did he..." He grabbed her by her hips, almost touching her bottom, and lifted Silla onto the railing while she yelped in surprise. He moved between her legs and placed his hands on womanly sides

while he positioned his head near her neck.

"Did he do this?"

Silla sucked in a breathe when she felt a gentle bite on her earlobe that continued with him attempting to give her a hickey. He could feel her tense up underneath him and that only made his eyes cloud up as he got lost in what he was doing. Before she could make a certain sound he was looking for, she suddenly snapped out of it and started kicking at his stomach and pushing him away with the most reddish face she had ever had.

Snapping out of his lust filled state he gently smiled as she was flustered beyond belief; gritted her teeth and snatching some objects that were on the table rolling them up together and started whacking him as he fell to the floor.

"Don't!"

Whack.

"Do!"

Whack.

"That!"

Whack. Whack. Whack.

Eventually having enough he grabbed her arm with her paper weapon in it and held it away while he smiled amused. She was furious and he loved it. "Stay here love I have something to do real quick," He kissed her forehead and went back into another room leaving the privacy of the area they were in to gods know what.

Little did she know he was about to do something very bad...

On the back of the boat, he silently went around to where only a single person stood.

Kael.

The cold wind pasted them and slightly blew Declan's hair revealing the blood lust in his sharp green eyes. His hand tapping the unaware males shoulder as he stood dangerously close to the railing. Kael turning around confused and startled quickly settled down upon recognizing who it was. "The sharks are out tonight. Aren't they such beautiful creatures? I could watch them for hours..." Kael spoke in a daze looking at the moons reflection in the water that stirred with sharp fins every now and again.

"V'hy don't you join z'em."

Everything went so fast.

That was the last thing Kael heard before two large hands clasped onto his shoulders, jostling him into the abyss below. Declan's face contorting into that of a demons, green eyes glowing in the darkness and one sharp pearly grin on his features. The only thing to be seen in the darkness.

Screams foggily sounded.

A loud splash was heard soon after as the ice cold water surrounded the mans body. He swam up, gasping and taking in all the air he could get only to be frightened by the image of the green eyed monster above his pale skin and deep dark circles only illuminating his beast like eyes.

A hallucination or just a cruel joke, his flawless face stared at him above the water, a contorted smile so deep that his eyes squinted and his hands did a light mocking wave. Kael screamed an ear piercing shriek, air bubbles exiting his mouth. He swam backwards, hoping to get away from the terrifying image in front of him. His limbs growing tired as air begged to be let into his lungs and his bloodshot eyes remained open in the cold salty water.

The boat was getting further and further away. He tried to swim after it but couldn't keep up. His limbs violently thrashing under the waves seemed to slow down and his head sunk under the water and didn't come back up as water filed his lungs.

"Tsk... Should've taken swimming lessons..." A green eyed male mused as he rested on his elbows watching the pitch black water glimmer with the moon light.
