Chapter 27 - Chapter Twenty Six: Abandoned

After the incident with Lethe, everyone in the manor was blatantly disrespectful to her and thankfully she already finished looking around their mansion, so she spent her time leisurely in the guest room. Though not even twenty minutes had passed and Raymond finally wanted to see her.

The butler in led her to the front of Raymond's office and frowned deeply at her. The servant opened the large double doors with loud creek. Inside Raymond stood proudly and welcomed her with a fake smile.

"... Someone is waiting for you. We shouldn't let her wait too long. I'll have her come in." Raymond spoke.

Finally.

Blood red heels clacked against the floor. For a split second they staggered but caught themselves.

Finally, they meet again.

"Silla," a raspy female voice called. The woman in front of her had long black hair and blue eyes like her own but they were faded and hazed; not as bright as they used to be. Her skin was thick and leathery while her face held little wrinkles at the creases. No doubt from the constant drinking and partying. Her revealing red dress hugged her slightly dissipating curves and made her appearance all the more withered.

Silla's Birth Mother.

The young girl looked at her blankly as if staring at a stranger.

"Who are you?"

"I-I'm your mother. Your mother!" She opened her arms towards her in a hugging manner.

"My mother passed away. Raymond, I don't understand what you're trying to do here." Silla said looking at the man to her right.

"Don't you remember me?" Her biological mother faltered nervously thinking that her supposed daughter would recall her. Even with her here surprisingly Silla didn't feel anything. Because in her heart, Selena was her mother.

"I honestly don't understand what you're talking about. Are you going to continue with this prank? Perhaps you even have my father here too?" She held a cold look on her face.

Suddenly the woman who called herself Silla's mother angrily gripped her arm; her red fake nails digging into the young girls skin. "You really don't know me? It's me, your mother!" She shouted in the girls face.

"Aack!" The woman suddenly screeched staggering as Silla swiftly smacked her across the face.

"Don't touch me."

Her birth mother collapsed to the floor in dread; her makeup running down her face from tears. "They'll kill me if you do this! Do you really plant to let your own mother die?!" Who gave you life?! Who's the one who raised you?!" She said grabbing onto the girls leg in a begging manner as she laid on the floor; black lines on her cheeks from running mascara.

Sighing Silla looked back at Raymond. "Is this the 'valuable present' that you had for me?"

"I-I adored you so much. Right? I treated you like a precious child. I left, so you wouldn't get hurt..." She paled; eyes smudged black as she clung to Silla's dress. Her fists balled up into the fabric as if it was her life line.

Precious?

It's shocking how shameless people can be...

"U-Uh, of course I-I made some mistakes. B-But it was hard for me too. Don't you u-understand now? You're dressed so well..." She mumbles with her hand over her heart while she sat on her knees in front of her.

Did she think she could be forgiven for what she did because she was her mother?

"I'm tired of listening to this now. Do you have any other actors here?" Silla told Raymond with a shake of her head.

"D-Don't you miss your mother?" The black haired woman faltered sitting in a pile on the floor.

Soon she rose to her feet in rage at the girls actions. "We're connected by blood. You can't break that! I'm dead? What kind of nonsense is that?! Your rich husband should be giving me what I deserve as his mother in-law!" She shrieked.

Now she saw.

She wants money from her was that it?

Blood never meant anything to her anyway.

"... Raymond, I'm bored of this farce now. I enjoyed the show. Now, if you don't have anything else to say, may I leave?"

"...."

"But If you leave this room, this woman will die." He threatened.

"So what?"

Her birth mother stood still in shock and her black tear stained eyes widened.

"I'M HER MOTHER! I AM!" She shrieked turning to Raymond in hope that he would spare her.

Getting ready to leave this dramatic screen Silla turned towards the door only to stop at Raymond's words. "What a perverse woman, even killing your own mother. Despicable."

Sighing the girl spoke. "Raymond... I don't feel the need for courtesy anymore. My mother died a week ago. I won't forgive you for insulting her memory. Nor will I allow you to so blatantly disrespect me." She glared rolling her head back to the side while looking down at the man in front of her.

His entire form suddenly snapped back around in pure rage and he picked her up off the ground by the collar of dress. "I suppose words don't reach you." He whispered slowly chocking her. Eventually out of the crevices and corners and hidden panels hooded men came into the room surrounding them.

"Is this how you treat you guests? By threatening a helpless woman with guns?" Silla mocked.

"There's no reason to be generous when you're just an abomination." Raymond smirked.

Then she had no reason to be generous either. So, what should she do? Perhaps, she should let them capture her and then escape...

BOOM!

A sudden explosion and loud noises shocked everyone in the room. Outside she could hear screams of men and a disturbing crunching sound. The sounds of bones being split in two. Under the door a puddle of red slowly seeped into the room. Raymond himself turned round towards the door shocked. Silence invading the air as everyone stood still.

A chill can up her spine and her back hit the wall as she slowly backed away. Everyone stared uneasily at the door knowing it was the only thing keeping them from whatever was on the other side. Worriedly one of the Raymond's men opened the door and left it cracked to go check out what the matter was. Everything was still for a moment and everyone seemed to relax again.

Nothing had happened...

Until grotesque shrieks and shredding sounds made their way to them. The ripping of ligaments came again and the screaming eventually stopped. Until a clacking sound of shoes against the bloody marble floor alerted everyone of something approaching.

The cracked door squeaked open as pale bloody finger tips curled around the edge of the door with tapping noise pushing it open. Slowly revealing the hand and arm of the said person. The black sleeves of their jacket also splattered with a red substance. Little did everyone know of the blood spattered against the walls, lined with torn and dead bodies behind the blood stained black leather dress shoes littering the once white halls.

Suddenly the mysterious person slammed the main double doors to the room crashing open and almost ripped both the doors off their hinges. Behind the smoke and debris Declan came in dauntingly slow. "It seems my fiancé ran a'vay, so I've come to pick her up."

Both of Declan's long silver pistols were pointed at Raymond and his goons rapidly firing bullets as they ran for cover. Giving her the perfect opportunity to escape. The silver shell casings hit the floor and blood splattered upon impact of his fleshy targets. Silla leaped onto the green eyes man and hid behind his long black trench coat.

How did he know she was here?

Did he follow her?

"V'e need to go back to our territory. ASAP." He spoke but was cut off by Raymond's shouting as everything broke out into chaos.

"DECLAN!"

"YOU TRAITOR!" Raymond bellowed.

Declan looked at the man with a dark look and turned back around while Silla looked back with a confused expression.

Traitor?

Just what did Declan do?

"You don't need to listen to him. V'e need to go back, lyubov. Z'e car is waiting outside." He whispered; continuing to drag her off. Outside the manor they practically flew into the holocraft the doors automatically locking as they sped off.

Once readjusting herself she laid her head in her arms looking out the window next to the seats. Staring out into the cold night sky filled with dark clouds that were illuminated by the moon. The sight was eerie but relaxing at the same time. She couldn't comprehend how Declan always came at the perfect moment. He was always able to find her; no matter where she was.

It was strange.

"How did you know I was at Raymond's?" Silla questioned him.

"Ah, yes... I put a tracker in your ring, love. How did you z'ink I found you?" He replied nonchalantly.

She gaped at him.

Getting over her initial shock she sighed and turned back to the window to watch the clouds float by. The cold air tickled her nose, but she didn't make a move to seek warmth. When they finally reached the mansion, she practically ran up the stairs and jumped onto the bed and snuggled into the blankets. However it was short lived as a voice behind her suddenly spoke. "Now z'at z'at's over... Mind explaining to me v'hy you disobeyed me and ran off?" He looked at her with a dark expression; a small vein popping out on his forehead.

Oh shit...

He's pissed.

She had thought he forgot about it. "U-Umm..." She nervously murmured. His wet tongue ran over her cheek and down her neck as he looked down at her in a predatory way. "Tsk-Tsk. Looks like I'm going to have to punish you..." He whispered with an evil Cheshire smile.

Oh no...

"W-What kind of p-punishment?" She stuttered not knowing what this psycho would do to her.

"No leaving z'e mansion for a month." He grinned.

"W-What!" She shouted shocked.

No way.

He can't just trap her here!

"And..."

"You have to give me a kiss." Declan added as she looked at him in horror.

No way that's never going to happen. Seeing her denial, he pouted and spoke. "If you don't I'll make it two months instead of one."

Frowning and mulling it over she finally came upon a decision. Shyly she leaned forward as Declan sat with his eyes closed in anticipation. Slowly, her soft lips met his in a gentle kiss. A few seconds after their lips met his arms came around her and held her tightly. Slowly deepening the action and moving his lips against hers in a loving yet passion movement with so much need.

The deeper they went the more her head started to strangely throb. She ignored it at first, but it quickly became unbearable. Unable to move away the only option she had to distract herself was to start kissing him back to numb the pain. Her hands gripping onto him tighter as a strange memory she had long forgotten flashed through her mind going back to a particular moment of hers she did not remember.

"Krasivaya," a younger scrawnier version of Declan murmured in Russian; his green eyes lighter and sandy blonde hair lighter than they were now.

Her younger self tried to yank herself back away from him, but something ran along her back preventing her from doing so. Her big blue doll eyes looked down and she automatically saw that he had anticipated her movement wrapped his arm around her before she could comprehend it.

The young boy seemed to be in a daze; his pupils dilated. In shock she only watch as his lips inched closer to hers as he laid his forehead on hers staring deeply into the girls deep blue eyes. Causing an embarrassed blush to form on her cheeks.

It was sudden when his lips met hers. They were soft and gentle. The rain pattering on the rooftop making it all the more like some sort of vision.

It was her first kiss.

The boy pulled back, bring a finger to his lips and gently rubbed it across the soft pink skin. "Tak myagko..." He muttered to himself. Looking over he saw her as a blushing quivering mess. For a while they stared at each other unsure of what to say. Until the girl broke the silence and grabbed his hands in hers.

"I'll always stay by your side," She told him in her in soft childlike voice both confident and serious.

"It's a promise," he said smiling sincerely his green eyes shining darker.

"Ty dolzhen vsegda ostavat'sya na moyey storone..." He whispered before the sun fully set.

Now out of her daydream Silla pulled back and looked to a madly blushing Declan in shock and confusion.

"I remember..." She murmured to him.

"Remember v'hat?" He asked in confusion.

"You."

"It was you- it was always you..."
