Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Shadows within school

Too much of Akito's surprise, Rias Norio was in the same homeroom as him. All fired up. He takes a look at the assigned seat sheet that was posted on the class board.

"This has to be a dream," he says with a red face.

"Huh! I'm going to sit next to Rias!" He mutters before being told to have a seat.

As the class commenced and the teacher assigned the seats to the right students, the class began, and so did his journey.

Now in 7th period, Akito nervously glanced over to where Rias was sitting, and in a moment of silence, as each one read the textbook to themselves, he had seen what seemed to be a shadow standing over her. He looks back down to his book and mutters, "what the hell, again?" He looked back up again only to see that now Rias had noticed his frustration.

Akito nervously looked over to the right and left to make sure that she was looking at him. Then he looked back and blushed as the eye contact broke between the two 7th period was over, and everyone was ready to leave and go home and share the experience of their first day of high school with their family. At the gate was Satoshi waiting for his brother. As he waved goodbye to both of his best friends, he and his brother took off home on the same path they took in the morning.

Walking home, Satoshi couldn't help but notice the fear on Akito's face. "Hey, dude, are you okay?" Says Satoshi to his brother. "Yeah, I'm fine, just a little uneasy," replied Akito to his brother. "Why's that, something went wrong today?" Satoshi carries the conversation. "No, not at all, the school was awesome," said Akito, "it's just that throughout the day I had this feeling of being watched from afar like this feeling was a stalker type of feeling, you know? but with murderous intent," Akito says in a low pitch voice. "Dude… you?, HAHAHA. You're probably just nervous. Let's get home and play some video games? What do you say?" Said Satoshi to comfort his brother. "I think I will pass. I'm going to be meeting up with Kazuto at the park path today for a little jog," said Akito. "Oh… okay? You're going to run?" Said Satoshi with a confused look on his face.

"Yes, I have to. It feels like I have to lose weight, like getting ready for something big and getting stronger. And I will," said Akito to his brother with a sharp face. "Huh? Why do you feel like that?" Said Satoshi. "I don't know, and I don't care why. I'm tired of this body. I'm tired of myself, Satoshi, that's why I will try my best to improve, after all, I'm not happy with myself, and I believe that once I am where I want to be, I will be happy because that is where I belong, probably" said Akito. With that, the conversation died down, and the boys made their way home.

At around 4:30 P.M. Akito arrives at the path, and as soon as he does, a small rock comes flying at him, striking him in the back of the head. As he turned around to see who had done it, he could see a shadow vanish behind a large tree. Filled with curiosity, he runs to the tree to investigate who has been keeping a tap on him. "Who could it be, they have been watching me all day, and now all of a sudden, they decided to get physical?" Says Akito to himself, filled with anger because of the thought of being bullied, he peeks behind the tree to see nothing, but a piece of paper with a note left in it, and the message read "Death to you" with no warning his friend Kazuto sneaks up behind him and scares him.

"BOO!"

"Bro, what are you doing," says Akito to Kazuto, causing the note to fly off his hands due to the strong wind current. "What was that?" Asked Kazuto. "It was nothing," replied Akito. "Hmm… a love letter? From Yui, maybe?" He said while having his index fingering against his lips. "No, what the hell is wrong with you! No, not that, it was a blank piece of paper, that's all," said Akito. "Okay, whatever, Mr. Smooth, let's get running. We are doing 2.5 miles today, so let's warm up first," said Kazuto. "Yeah! You got it!!" Replied Akito with excitement.

As the two boys ran with joy in their hearts as they spent the whole evening together, the thought of the note remained in Akito's mind. After the run, Kazuto decided to get some milk tea from the vending machine next to the fountain in the middle of the park. As they made their way down to the middle of the park, Kazuto asked Akito what was on his mind: "Hey, mind if I ask what you have been up to lately, you seem quite different?" Akito turns his head over and replies, "nothing, I don't like how I feel at the moment. I feel uncomfortable with myself, so I'm trying to change that feeling."

"Hm, okay, I'm here for you if anything," Kazuto replied to comfort his friend. Akito looks over to him and smiles, and says, "Thanks, it means a lot."

As the conversation came to a halt and the two kept making their way down to the center of the park, Akito started to think to himself in silence, "I can't tell them about this, this guy or girl or whoever it is. I can't tell them that they are trying to scare or bully me. I really can't afford to have them help me the same way again. As open as I am with them, this has to stay between myself and myself only because if they find out, I'm scared that they will never look at me the same again. This other feeling inside of me is irritating. It is as if I'm sensing something that is on the brink of emerging, and not only that, my senses have grown, and I can tell that whatever is after me; harbors a dangerous aura around them. The aura almost feels too powerful to belong in this world, okay! So now I'm just rambling on and on. Never mind that we're at the vending machine."

As they both grabbed a drink of two percent milk tea, they made their way to the bench area. "You know Akito, Milk is perfect for you, and so is tea, so why not combine them and get the best at the same time!" awkwardly said Kazuto to avert Akito's attention. "Yeah, I know, bro," replied Akito as he nervously kept looking around. Over at the bench area. Kazuto could not help but notice the fear on Akito's face. He asks, "Hey dude, are you okay?" to ensure that his friend is safe. "Yeah, bro, I don't know if… If I should tell you this," he spoke out before thinking to himself, "damn, am I really going to tell him? What will he think of me after? Does it really matter? He is already onto me." And with a concerned look on Kazuto's face, he replies, "tell me?"

"I don't know if I should tell you that I have been followed around all day today, I feel as if I'm being followed by someone, someone with ugly intentions, I don't know what they want and up until before we met, they never made contact." Kazuto followed up with a series of questions. "Are you sure? And what was the contact like? A phone call? A message? Or perhaps that note you lost today?" Kazuto pressured Akito. "Yes, exactly that note that flew off from my hands today was left there only to threaten me, a note that read 'Death to you' and this note left a sense of terror within my bones, they also got physical for the first time," said Akito. '`Physical, how?" said kazuto. "Yeah, a rock came flying at me, striking me in the back of the head," explained Akito. Confused and concerned, Kazuto tried to shift the topic: "Bro, I'm sure it's one of those kids who think they can do whatever they want to new students, don't pay too much attention to them," said Kazuto to comfort both himself and his worried friend. "Yeah… Anyways, finish up your milk, and let's head home. It's already 5:42, and the sun's setting." He then waits for his best friend to finish his carton of milk. Shortly after they take off home, as they part ways and wave to each other a final goodbye for the day, Akito started to think of what he told his best friend today. Then, out of embarrassment, he makes a scrunched face, makes a checkmark with his hand, places it on his chin, and thinks to himself, "Does… does he think that I'm on drugs?" and nervously laughs.

Back home, an excited Satoshi was patiently waiting for his brother to come home. To hear about his brother's day and his thoughts about working out, he thought to himself: "This fool really is trying to improve? I'm really happy for him, but I hope he takes it easy on himself." Not only was that his purpose of waiting by the door, but to also challenge him to a challenging game, a game of death, a game of victory and loss, a video game of a 1v1. With a devilish smirk, he says, "Finally, I have practiced all day for, today my own brother will feel my wrath... The wrath of Satoshi the Hidden the samurai! HAHAHA!!" His evil laugh then comes to an end, and the door cracks open. "I'm home…" he tried to tell Akito, only to be scared half to death by his brother sitting in the dark with a smirk. "Now! Now! Look who's home. Today is the day I achieve my vengeance, the day I have long yearned for. Hahaha! Akito, the son of a programmer!!! I challenge you to a game of 1v1!!!" he said with a deep evil-ish voice. Confused and scared, he starts to yell at his brother: "Huh! Dude, what are you thinking? You almost gave me a heart attack!"

"If you want to challenge a god, you must be ready, you weak human," He says with an almost perfect evil voice. Satoshi, brimming with shining lights, surprised at how good of an actor his brother was, screams "OMG!!! Can I please have your autograph before you make it famous!?" Akito grabs the paper note from the key table and signs it, and he then slaps it on his brother's forehead. "Oh, well, of course, my lady, here you are,'' he said with cracking but still a sexy voice. Amazed, he takes it off his forehead, but then Satoshi loses his interest and starts to make fun of Akito's "Sexy voice."

"What the hell is that!! Hahaha!!! Go, go gobble up some water, and while you're at it, work on the vocals too!! HAHAHA."

Depressed, Akito stands there, arms hanging to the side and back tilted forward. He then says to himself, "I better take a shower, uhh let me take these running socks off, I'm tired, and now I'm depressed too. What a day!"

While in the shower, Akito starts to see glimpses of his day at school, and he starts to envision the events like never before. He can clearly see everything now as if the world had stood still for him to venture around within. He can feel his consciousness connected to this world outside of time, and it was like this world truly belonged to him. Around him, he could see particles of light at a standstill. He then thinks to himself, "according to quantum physics, 'reality is what you can perceive,' meaning that reality is what you see and what you see only, in such a way, if you look away from one point of reality, it ceases to exist. It stands still in time and space until it is perceived once again by the same person, and yet this world debunks the theory and proves it at the same time." Now with time at a standstill, he walks over to the moment where the "shadow" was first spotted and tried to take a closer look.

As he closes in at the tree where the "shadow" had disappeared, he spots the shadow and can tell who or what was behind all of this. To a shocking surprise, this "thing" had no face nor a body. It was a literal shadow unbound to the physics of this world. Akito starts to panic and sweats heavily in the shower; as he tries to catch his breath, the glimpses deepen, now standing where he was earlier. In the park by the colossal tree, seeing himself with the note, he can feel the terror within himself, both present and past. He knew that this note had supposed different, that it had a different meaning behind it, and after a deep breath, he managed not to faint in the shower and immediately reached for the Fossett to shut it off. He grabs the towel, wipes himself, and rushes out of the bathroom. Still in shock, Akito tried to comfort himself from what he had just seen, from what was revealed to him. He rushes into his room and puts on his pajamas. "Well, I better hold up the end of my deal with Satoshi and play the game of 1v1," he says to distract himself.

Down the stairs was his brother waiting for him to come down and get their game of 1v1 going. "Dude, you took forever, you know, a couple more minutes, and I would've fallen asleep," said Satoshi in a sleepy voice. "You can head up to sleep if you want. We will battle tomorrow," Akito tried to assure his brother. Satoshi brings his hands close to his face and *Slaps! Slaps!* No, dude, I'm alright. Today is the day, and today is my day, so let's get this thing over with "Trash." WItha surprised look on his face, Akito says: "Oh, really, that's how it is then? Fine, don't cry after this!" As Satoshi inserts the disc into his console, Aktio gets frustrated and yells at his brother: "Dude!! Haven't you even loaded up the screen yet? What in the hell were you doing this whole time?'' Then he smacks his brother on top of his head. "Ouch" screams out Satoshi and says, "Why, why would you smack me so hard? '' As tears drip down his face. "Shut up!" says Akito as he crosses his arms and looks the other way. "Brother! I'm sorry!" as they both share a burst of laughter.

The console turns on, and the brothers battle each other in a 1v1, in an all-out match! Who will win "The Big Brother" who's overconfident or "The Little Brother" who's sitting on a dining chair with an ass crack that is peeking from behind?

*Click! click~*

As darkness rose from the light, the brothers carrying on with their intense battle, and with only 10 seconds left, both the brothers with a half HP bar. With his unique character, whose magical power was a fireball, Akito summons the final move called "Fire Breath," finishes off the battle, and takes the win. "Hell Yeah!" as he jumps off from the chair, "Dude, your cheating, man! It's obvious," says Satoshi, and he continues, "Never mind that it's already 9:30, let's just head to bed already, plus you need to decide on a club, bro." Akito gets back to the chair and takes a seat, and answers his brother: "Yeah, I know, but is there a way to form a new club in this school because I honestly don't have any that I'm attracted to at the moment." he said. "Yeah, you can actually, because the school has disbanded a couple of clubs that had little to no members, but you must have at least four members that are in on it already, or the club would not be accepted. Anyways, What kind of club are you interested in forming?" He asks his brother. "History of Magic' Lately, I have had this desire to learn about magic and its past.

"Honestly, I feel like this world is no creation of natural resources and materials. It feels almost magical, you know, especially mount Fuji, that sight is lovely, and it feels like a 'God' is residing within that place!" He says out loud in excitement." Said Akito in awe about the mountain and its surrounding areas. "Hey, Akito, come, come closer, please!" Akito then gets up and walks towards his brother. He grabbed and lifted his chin. "Okay, no white substance. Are you sure you're not on drugs, bro?" as he tightened grip. "Ouch, you're hurting me. Let go, and no, I'm not on no drugs. Idiot." He screamed at his brother. "Sorry, it's just sometimes you say some idiotic things that address no damn sense that it makes you seem like you had taken some heavy drugs, and anyways, you do what you want, I always tell you this! I believe in you and in whatever you choose to do! Goodnight,'' He says as he makes his way up the stairs to his room. "Yeah, thanks. Goodnight," Replied Akito.
