This world was called Geode for the abundance of beautiful gems adorning its surface, and the hearty people of its lands. A most peculiar people they were, despite being capable of survival in any region of their universe with ease, they always decided that Geode was the place they were meant to be. In youth or old age, they would always return to their emerald shaded homeworld. Their race is also quite confusing from our perspectives, war is something you would expect to happen as long as there were people who thought differently, no? But somehow they had gone a billion years from their perspective without a war with any casualties, quite odd if you ask me.
Alas they weren't without fighting, but they didn't use it to kill each other but used it as a sport that could unify all. Sometimes this meant 1 on 1 battles, other times it meant great battles of entire clans that would close with just a few cuts and scrapes in the end. And all the while the gods would give them boons that made the fights rewarding, that only the honorable winners could acquire. They were very well thought out, no?
Well that's only one half of it, there was another more prominent reason they remained peaceful. You see they had two manipulatable energies; both were mana offshoots, but they were drastically different in function. One grew stronger the more battles one was in, more honestly they acted, or were given kindness; this energy was known as Argent for it's bright and silvery appearance. The other was almost the complete opposite in nature though; it grew vastly stronger through hardship, pain, suffering, and rage, but the energy itself never carried such properties. They called this dark power Shade...
