Nulla frowned, "I am tired."
Leigh's temper started rising, disrespecting her that's alright, but never and I mean never, disrespect her mother, she swung her fist at Nulla hitting him straight in the cheek, it was a punch of pure emotion and no skill, but it still packed a punch, she was after all trained from the age of 5, Nulla was caught by surprise. but showed none of it, his expression still showed nothing, he looked back at her emotionlessly. "What was that for?" he stated coldly, the temperature of the room suddenly dropped.
Leigh was surprised and intimidated, even though she put on a tough act she was spoilt her whole life and never went through a situation like this, 'He is scary' she thought whilst looking at his cold eyes, but her pride would not let her show fear, "Don't YOU DARE DISRESPECT MY MOTHER!" Nulla noticed the smallest little tears forming in her eyes, even though he lost his mother, she still raised him and sacrificed everything for him and even though he could not show it, he still loved his mother deeply, so when he saw Leigh's love for her mother, he in his cold heart felt regret, "I'm sorry." he stated looking down, still emotionless but Leigh could tell he meant it.
She never expected this arrogant snowboy to actually apollogise, and somewhere deep down, she built the slightest respect for him, "It's fine, ill forgive you this one time, but never do it again..." she huffed and started storming off. "What are you waiting for follow me!" she called from the end of the hallway, Nulla followed.
As they were walking Leigh asked, "So who are you? snowboy? If you were brought here by dad you must be a big deal because dad would never let anyone in his palace if they weren't important."
Nulla replied, "As of now, I am no one, just another commoner that had a 'Trauma Awakening', I have no purpose or reason to live, I have no family nor friends, I found myself in your father's carriage when I awoke from my 'awakening'.
Leigh's eyes softened, she knew somewhat about a trauma awakening from her studies, and knew to have one, an extreme agony must have occured. She said nothing, she did not know how to comfort the boy, but he did not look as though he needed it, because even after saying all that, his facial expression never changed.
They arrived at the familiar wooden doors again, Leigh knocked with a sad smile, as a soft weakened voice was heard, "come in."
Leagh opened the large oak doors, as they walked in Nulla found himself in a large comforting room, the crackle of a fireplace could be heard and infront him was a pale fragile and sickly women lying bedridden. Nulla could tell that once before she was an elegant and beautiful lady... an akward cough brought him out of his thoughts,
"I don't bite" followed by a chuckle that was cut of by a suckly cough... Nulla approached.the foot of the bed slowly, holding eye contact with the woman, even though she was sick he could tell that she was powerful, her eyes said it all, unbound confidence yet a gentlness he longed for and only recieved from one person in his life... his mother... "Sit down little one." she gestured towards the edge of the bed.
"whats your name?"
"Armin" he replied monotonely.
she smiled gently.
"I am Elmony, the wife of Null, and the mother of this beautiful young lady." she gestured Leagh to come closer.
"I wouldn't say that" Armin muttered under his breathe.
Elmony smiled, "Why are you here Armin?"
"I wish I knew myself."
"Im sure Null has a purpose for you, trust him he is a good man."
"I will decide my own purpose." Armin replied coldly, staring directly into her eyes.
"No one here will force you to do anything Armin, there is no need to be defensive."
Leagh sat back and watcged everything that was happening she was interested in this boy, why was he so cold?
"where is your family Armin?" Elmony questioned gently.
"Dead." Armin replied.
Elmony and Leagh were taken back, both were left speechless and yet felt for the boy.
"Well if its any comfort, we are here Armin, I may not know you well, but everyone in this castle is family."
Armin just stared at her. He stood up "Miss Elmony it was pleasent meeting you, have a lovely day." and he walked out.
Leagh and her mom sat there. Confused and yet more understanding of his dispondence.
