Frank was sitting on the couch, playing with his toy robot. On the side, Sophia caressed Emma's hair as she dried it with the hair dryer. The little girl is young but her hair is truly resplendent. Her face is as pure as jade, and is incredibly beautiful and delicate.
"Mummy, you're back! Have you already eaten your dinner?" Upon seeing their mother, Frank put down his toy and ran over to Claire to care for her.
"Hmm. I've already eaten. After you take your shower, quickly go to bed. You're going to report to your new kindergarten tomorrow." Claire couldn't help but kiss her son's little face.
Her Aunt Sophia has already finished drying and brushing her daughter's hair. "Claire, you should take a bath first. I'll coax these little fellas to sleep."
Sophia had raised her own children herself, so she had a lot of experience on how to cajole the children to sleep. Sophia was extremely amazed because her two little grandchildren are so obedient and sensible.
"Thank you for everything, aunt." Overwhelmed with gratefulness, Claire's eyes welled up with tears. However, she's in front of her children, she had to held back her tears. No matter how much pain she's suffering, she promised herself that she would never cry in front of her children. Although her children are young, they're exceptionally sensitive to her feelings. The adults' mood will affect the children's emotions.
"Foolish child, there's no need to be so polite to me." Sophia could already tell that Claire must have suffered in the Scott Family villa when she returned empty-handed. She couldn't help but feel sorry for her niece.
"Mummy, we'll sleep first." Frank walked over and took Emma's little hand to his. The two little figures entered a bedroom, "Brother, I want Mummy to sleep with me." Emma pouted her small mouth and made her request in her cute voice. Frank turned his head and patted her sister's cheeks. "Mummy will hug you after she has taken her bath. Let's lie down on the bed first, okay?"
Outside the bedroom, Sophia saw this scene and smiled gently. "Emma, let grandaunt carry you and sleep together, hmm?"
"No, I want my Mummy. If Mummy doesn't hug me, I won't be able to sleep." Emma's big round eyes were immediately clouded with tears. She has always been well-protected by her brother, Frank. She has a delicate personality, but she doesn't act up.
"Idiot Emma." Frank made face at her.
"I'm not an idiot! You're a bad brother!" Emma's small face went red and puffy as she started to scold her elder brother. Frank stuck out his tongue at her and quickly ran away. Emma was so angry that her tears were about to fall. Sophia couldn't bear to see her little grandchild cry so she hurriedly pulled Emma to her embrace and coaxed her. She knows that every one has different sleeping habits. In this new environment, Emma wanting to hug her mother before sleeping is normal. As it was a new environment, the little kids were unable to fall asleep instantly. The children that were quarrelling just moments ago, are now hopping around the bed like little rabbits. Sophia stood at the side of the bed, fear can be seen in her eyes. "Be careful! Don't fall off the bed."
When Claire came out of the bath, she heard the noises in the other room and chuckled to herself. Entering the bedroom, she shook her head and lightly laughed, "Okay, okay. Stop. Mummy will take you to bed. We still need to get you to your new school tomorrow." Claire walked to the bed and arranged the messy bed and pillows. She then turned to Sophia, "Aunt, you go sleep first. I'll take care of these kids." Sophia didn't ask Claire immediately about what happened at the Scott Family villa. She gave her a look, Claire nodded. "Alright. After they fall asleep, I'll go over to your room."
