After our conversation with Raphael both Luke and Raphael gather there groups and we head to the City of Bones,, Luke and the werewolves follow us shadowhunters on the right while Simon, Raphael and the vampires walk on the left side of us.
"This does nt look like theCity of Bones." Clary says as we stop walking to look around
"This is the downworlders entrance." Jace tells her
"The City of Bones has a service entrance. Perfect." Clary smiles sarcastically
"I hope I have better luck here than i did the last time." Simon says and Jace turns to look at him "Just saying" he adds
"Everyone knows what to do?" Clary calls out, so the people at the back can here even though it was a rhetorical question
"Text when your in position." Jace adds as people start to move off in different directions
Raphael whistles as Luke starts to walk forward "Stay" he says and Luke furrows his eyebrows "good dog"
"Bite me" he rolls his eyes
"Roll over" Raphael retorts
"Play dead"
Simon laughs "Boom" says as he and Luke fist bump
Everyone starts to move off again until a werewolf bumps into Simon causing all the vampires to hiss and the werewolves to growl in return, Luke runs back to try an calm down the werewolves while Clary pushes into the middle of everybody
"Hey, enough! Enough!" She cries throwing her arms into the air "All our lives are at stake"
I snort "stake"
"Its time we put aside our differences and work together. Tonight we are all downworlders." She looks between the two groups "Luke?" He nods in response, "Raphael?" he also nods briefly nod now the two packs go there different ways without any interruptions.
"I guess I should expect people to hate me for who i a now." Simon attempts to lighten the mood with a halfhearted smile and shrug "Ill get used to it"
Clary grits her teeth "never get used to it. You hear me?"
Izzy raises her voice looking at Simon "Lets do this"
Izzy, Simon and Raphael walk off to there position leaving Clary, Jace and I make your way to where we are supposed to be stationed
"Come here" Jace tells Clary who moves her hair away from her back so that he can draw a rune on it, then Jace turns to me and i hold my right arm out for him so he can draw the sight rune on my forearm. With the rune see further into the distance so we will see when they bring Meliorn.
Alec leads a team of guards through the expanse, Meliorn was handcuffed and restrained by two guards
"Alec?" I whisper "what is he doing here?"confused
Jace looks toward where Clary is pointing and swears under his breath "Damn it, Lydia must have sent him"
Me and Clary turn to Jace confused "Lydia?"
"Alec's future wife, dont ask"
"What?" I whisper yell
I hear him mumble swear words under his breath "Look ill explain everything after we save Meliorn, i promise" he says, i nod my head at him before turning back to look and Meliorn and Alec
"Just say the word and we will call this whole thing off." Clary says turning to us
"No, here's no turning back now. Just whatever happens follow my lead."

"Alec" Jace calls as we we all up behind him, me ad Clary are hot on his heels.
When the group in front of us turn around i glare at Alec, he looks surprised to see us here
"You told me you were taking Clary back to the Institute." Alec starts his voice rising at the end of the sentence "you lied to me"
"I did what needed to be done." Jace replies calmly considering the situation we are in
"Alec the Clave has gone far," Clary states walking forward so she is standing next to me and Jace, i stay by my post at the door so he Alec cant get past with Meliorn "You have to see that. Please, just let Meliorn go."
Alec glares at Clary "I have my orders"
"You and your goddamn orders. Who give a fuck. Alec?! Someone's life is being put on the line and all you care about is getting your own ass in trouble." I snap at him
"See?" Alec turns to face me "Thats how little you know about being a shadowhunter. You couldn't possibly understand-"
"Its you that dont understand Alec." Jace cuts him off asking a step forward "Not this time" Alec shakes his head and tries to walk me
"I'm sorry" I say to him before kicking his legs out from under him grabbing his arm and twisting him so that i land straddling his waist, Clary rushes to catch Meliorn before he falls since he is still handcuffed. I turn my head to look at Jace "Why dont you and Clary get Meliron out of here, me and Alec here have to have a little chat." Jace doesnt waste any time grabbing Clarys arm and pulling her away i hear here protest but eventually she starts to walk away giving me a little smile as she goes.
I looked down at Alec, still straddling him "I dont know whats gotten into you lately but you betta get over it real fast otherwise your going to lose people you love." Alec opens his mouth to start talking but i continue before he can say anything "I dont know why you feel that you have to follow all the rules instead of trusting your family and friends... why do you care more about getting yourself out of trouble than believing in the people how are trying to help because trust me Alec if you keep going like this you are going to start losing people wether you like it or not." I give him a small smile before standing up and walking away leaving him speechless.

After my chat with Alec i meet up with the others out the front of the Hotel DuMort to find Izzy and Meliorn making out with each other, i turn as i hear CLary clear her throat trying to get there attention.
"I hate to break up this reunion Izzy, but we have to go" Jace pipes up breaking the heartfelt moment
Izzy pulls back and looks at Meliorn "you're in good hands" she turns to face us "i need to head back to the Institute , see what hell has broken loose. Try to talk some sense into Alec." She looks at Meliorn again "Take care of him"
I smile at them "we will, i promise"
Izzy kisses Meliorn one more time before turning to head back to the Institute
Meliorn turns to face me and Clary "I heard it was your idea to rally the downworlders. That you spearheaded my rescue."
Clary shakes her head "dont give me to much credit. Izzy made this happen, i just helped"
"Shes being modest," Jace cuts in ad Clary smiles "You're a shadowhunter now."
"If Clary doesnt want the credit Ill take it" i offer ad Clary shakes he head at me
"Ive been surprised by more than one shadowhunter tonight. You risked everything to unite us." Meliorn goes on
"After you tried to sell her out." Jace counters smugly - apparently when Meliorn was being interrogated by the Clave he told them that me and Clary had the Cup.
Meliorn shrugs not my finest moment, which is why im offering you a gift for your sacrifice. If you're ready, i can help you find your father."
