--Layren Bhuor Point of View--
The main distinction among fire mages is the strength of their flame. As soon as a magician learns to control it, his flame is colored according to how hot it is.
In ascending order of heat, yellow with red is the first one, followed by blue, green, and purple.
Currently, the only person in the house with a purple flame is my father and also the GrandMaster Kluster Bhuor. Our family is considered to be the strongest thanks to the fact that all descendants have the same color as the flame of the Great Hero Hulum Ying.
But everything changed with me since my flame is green. This is considered extremely powerful, but not enough for a Bhuor.
As a result, my mother was executed for the crime of weakening the Bhuor bloodline and I suffered for years at the hands of the GrandMaster, in his attempt to make my flame stronger.
The GrandMaster has lost some of its influence and is now trying to regain it through a simple boy.
He convinced everyone that he was the first black flame mage ever.
But it was clear that everyone has doubts about that. After all, none of them have seen in life an outsider inside Viridian House.
'But in the end, it didn't matter to these old people as long as he is strong enough.'
Yet several people have opposed to his presence here.
"He simply let his allies die before raising his hand to do something."
"He could have done that before."
"What's the use of being so strong if he fails in such a simple mission?"
The most diverse comments overshadowed the fact that all new students fail on their first mission every year.
Because this first mission was made for them to recognize the pain of the battlefield and lose their pride before the training began.
This annoyed the GrandMaster Kluster Bhoir a lot.
"He probably saw no use for the allies so he waited for them to die to fight more efficiently, without having to hold back" He spoke.
This year has 3 promising mages from great families belonging to Viridian House, so when they heard that, the situation got even more agitated.
Gremory's presence was irritating many people on the house high ranks.
'But my dad doesn't care about any of that. He just wants power in the end...'
The discussion continued for a while until Vendryt Burlaf arrived, Burlaf was not from a very relevant family, but he was once one of the strongest magicians of rank A. Furthermore, his influence in the house is big, he keeps teaching just because he wants to.
"There is no turning back now, we can only continue looking forward. Still, I have to say that I have my doubts about his element, I trained dozens of mages, and even among the most different flames I never saw one behave that way." Vendryt spoke.
Whispers were heard between the ranks after what was said by Vendryt.
Yet, nobody dares to start the discussion again.
"But I failed in breaking that boy's pride. I would like to take extra measures if Kluster allows."
"I approve as long as he stays alive in the end." The GrandMaster Kluster answered to Vendryt.
"I am very grateful, it will happen tomorrow. For now, I will return to the training of our young beginners."

"That bastard decides to leave like this and leave us out here freezing" Luther spoke.
"Show some respect, Vendryt is a veteran of many wars and is training us, you should be happy" Xander answered in an angry tone.
They seemed to be irritated, but they were too cold and hungry to even think about fighting each other.
'What is there to be proud of?'
We were left alone outside the castle at the top of a mountain. It was a steep, snowy region.
Vendryt led us into a large metal door adorned with runes. After we went through the door, it closed behind us and just disappeared.
The mountains stretched to the horizon, and below us, it was possible to see immense glaciers. A sea of ice.
The breeze from the glaciers made it even worse, but we have no choice but to wait here as the ice reaches our waist.
A simple wrong move would make us roll the whole mountain down. Maybe even setting off an avalanche.
Even with my shield getting rid of any impact I may feel during the fall. If I get buried in the snow I will probably die.
"Maybe they're just getting rid of us because we failed on our first mission" Kiel spoke.
His face was blue from the cold, his lips trembling constantly.
What Kiel said was exactly what was on everyone's mind, but they were avoiding even thinking about it.
"They wouldn't do that to us, or would they?" Mary asked while sitting in the snow with her arms around her shoulders to lessen the cold.
Everyone had clothes prepared for the cold in the castle, but nothing was going to be enough for the cold caused by the breeze constantly coming from the glaciers below us.
"There is no use thinking about it, if we have been condemned for our failure then we will die without a doubt. But if it is not the case then it is just another test that we are failing." Yuno spoke.
Everyone was starting to despair, even Xander. But not Yuno, the fact that she was a sturdy girl with great red hair made a peaceful impression on her. But she was someone focused.
"She's right, there's no use in making assumptions. If it is a test then we must survive this time." Xander spoke while getting out of his self-pity state.
I had my shell protecting me from the cold, but even I didn't know if it would last forever.

Meanwhile, Vendryt took a small snow globe out of his pocket.
"Now let's see how you guys will handle this." He spoke to himself as he swayed the snow globe.
