Gavin showed Gabby the whole house and by the time they were finished Jay, Levi and Gabby's friends had arrived at the front entrance of the house. Eve and Ace were slightly flirting, while Jay and Levi were helping Nana with the boxes filed with their things. Gavin and Gabby were walking down the stairs when they saw the people in front of them. Gabby immediately rushed down the stairs to greet her friends. As soon as she got down they all had a group hug. Gabby turned to Jay and Levi
- Thank you guys for helping them.
Jay gave Gabby a nice smile
- No problem Gabby.
Levi on the other hand seemed to be having a staring contest with Gavin. By the looks of it the two weren't on best terms; however they didn't seem to be enemies either. Gavin finally made his way down the stairs and stood in front of Levi neither of them phased by the others attitude. Jay seemed to notice the obvious tension and intervened by stepping in between them.
- Hey Gav, long time no see.
Gavin seem to relax at the sight of Jay and the mood lightened up a bit.
- Hey man, it's good to see you.
They hugged like old pals do. In the meantime gabby and her friends put down their things on the ground for the time being and were starting to settle down. Gavin his way to Gabby and her friends.
- Hey do you need help?
Gabby turned to Gavin and shook her head.
- No thank you. How about I introduce you to my friends?
Gavin smiled sweetly at Gabby.
- I would like that.
Gabby returned the sweet smile turned to her friends.
- Guys…
She caught the attention of her friends that were talking amongst themselves and they turned their attention to her.
- I want you to meat Gavin, he's our neighbor.
She continued her sentence, while gesturing to Gavin who was standing right next to her. While Gabby's friends were introducing themselves, Ray came back from wherever he went before. He stood in the doorway and Levi approached him. Ray turned his attention to Levi and Jay, who followed suit after Levi.
- I appreciate you helping them.
Ray said while he fidgeted with the sunglass in his hands. Levi seemed to notice something is not right.
- Let me guess there was another nearby attack.
Levi stated bluntly. Ray averted his gaze to his hands.
- There seems to be more and more of those and they seem to be getting closer, we need to prepare for whatever is doing this.
Levi levered his head and thought for a moment. The three males were silent until Levi turned his head to look at Gavin. Jay and Ray followed his gaze and Levi seemed to frown towards Gavin.
- You know I don't particularly like that Gavin guy, ever since he came here the attacks seemed to close in.
Ray and Levi turned their heads to look at each other and as if telepathically they seemed to come to a conclusion together.
- We should keep our eyes open.
Ray stated and Levi simply nodded in agreement. Jay seemed not to like their accusations towards one of his friends.
- Wait you don't seriously think Gavin has something to do with this? That's ridicules.
Ray gave Jay one of his fatherly smiles to reassure him.
- Don't worry Jay all I'm saying is that we need to stay vigilant, Gavin is a newcomer he'll need to earn our trust first before we can trust him blindly.
Gavin noticed that the three males were having a conversation and came up to them slowly. Gavin came up behind Jay and wrapped his arm around Jay's shoulder in a brotherly way. Jay jumped slightly, but when he turned and saw Gavin smiling friendly at him he returned the smile. Gavin turned his attention to Ray who was standing in front of him.
- What are you guys talking about?
He asked, the smile never leaving Gavin's face. Ray dropped his smile and became serious once again.
- We were talking about the recent attack that accrued just outside of our territory.
Gavin's smiled dropped and he looked down.
- There was another one and that close?
His voice lased with concern. Ray kept careful watch of Gavin's reactions and continued talking,
- Unfortunately yes. We need to get to the bottom of this.
Ray turned his attention back to Jay and Levi; he put his sunglasses back on his face.
- I'll need your help with this. Gavin could you stay here and help Gabby settle in?
Gavin's smile returned and he looked up with a happy look on his previously serious face.
- Sure, leave it to me.
