Swoooooosh! The sound of the ocean crashing against the shore bank calmed Titus' nerves. His children had been fighting in school and he had to dispel them.
"What have I told you two? Fighting doesn't solve anything. You must be humble. Never forget that."
"Yes, father."
Titus was regarded in Sillsing as a great diplomat, having settled numerous disputes and making quite the living for it. His wife was a doctor in the city and he held the position of court diplomat. His skills in diplomacy were recognized well beyond Sillsing, some believing that even the legends in the Dragon Isles knew of him.
Swoooooosh! Titus had heard that some nobles where going to split up Graiigreald into four kingdoms. Just then, a courier handed a letter for Titus. It read:
"Titus, it is my pleasure to invite you to the capital city in the north, Academy. My fellow Lords, well, Kings now, would like to offer you a very important position between our kingdoms. You will meet myself, King Mao, King Washington, and King Bonaparte. I do so hope you will accept this offer."
-King Plato of Academy
Titus pondered for a moment. He thought, "what role would a diplomat play between four different kings?" He went to his wife to tell her the news.
"Dear, I have recieved a letter."
"What does it say?"
"It says that I am being invited to Academy by King Plato and will meet the Kings of the other three cities as well."
"Why would they invite you?"
"That I don't know, but they are offering me a position between them."
"Well, whatever you choose, we will always be here."
Titus thought of his wife and children. He thought of the city he would leave behind. But it was too good an opportunity to let go- he would be off by sundown.
After Plato sent word, he gathered the kings.
"We must forge for each of us a sword."
"What will a sword do against Cromwell?" King Mao asked.
"The swords will be imbued with our attributes that Michael gave to us. We will be strong enough then to take on Cromwell."
As the four kings adjourned their meeting, they went to the foundry and implored the work of the Blacksmith to craft the swords.
"This will take many months to complete, but it will get done my Lords."
