Agrid Armatiged, a priest wearing a pure white robe that reached all the way to his feet, looked out the window of his carriage as it slowly moved down an old dirt road. I can't believe we have to do this, he muttered internally to himself as his faced shrivelled up into something that could only be described as disgust. It wasn't the nature of the job that disgusted him so, or the idea of what he had to do, but he was a priest he shouldn't have to get close to the commoners in this poor sham of a town. He leaded back against the posh leather backing of the chair allowing his short blue hair to fall aimlessly over the top portion of his face. "Are you sure we have to do this" An irritated voice spoke from the shadows. Agrid look at the two disciples opposite him. Jagar curled his cherry blond hair in his finger staring at Agrid with his piercing green eyes. "Look we have are mission, other teams have been sent out as well, one to Wakemear, and one to Showmore, I didn't choose this mission, but it must be done" Agrid firmly stated. Remember you place disciple he said to himself. "They are children" A quiet voice continued from the corner of the carriage. Agrid's focus moved towards him, Malo was curled up in the corner clearly uneasy about the mission. How dare they question my authority, who do they think they are, I am a priest and if all goes well, I'll be made high priest after this mission. Then his eyes widened, and lips peaked into an evil smile. As the carriage hit a bump, he activated it so no one would notice
Toba looked around the newly formed crater around him, I need to leave this crater and look for Demo, Toba thought turning around, his black hair swishing in the wind and deep black eyes with gold highlights staring off into the distance. After climbing out of the crater Toba could see a small dirt town on the distance. Toba pulled up the hood on the old black cloak, that he got when entering this world, the covered his black top and long navy-blue trousers and walked towards the village.
The giant unrelenting sun bore down onto Agrid and the desolate, fruitless land spread out as far as the eyes could see, he scowled as his dark brown carriage engraved with an emblem of a moon and a tear pulled into the centre of the village, where a stage had been set up. "Come now Jagar and Milo", Agrid said in a soft, charming voice. Jagar and Milo nodded, they looked as if there very soul had been pulled out of their bodies, now they are just puppets, slaves to Agrid. A single tear made its way down Milos cheek, "Th-The goddess will save use" Jagar stammered now fully aware of what was going on but unable to do anything Agrid Turned around to look at them, "No one will save you because no one even knows you exist and the goddess", Agrid's eyes hardened as he almost spat the words, "Why would she ever save you". That was the last time Jagar and Milo would have a will of their own.
As Toba entered the village the smell of manure and faeces washed over him. He looked at the decrepit dirt shacks that the villages called home and felt and debilitating desire to help them second only to the desire to find Demo. Toba strolled along the main street towards the centre of town. He passed a multitude of livestock and animals, people sitting by the side of the road diseased and dying. At the centre of town, a large crowd had gathered and in front of them a make sift platform had been erected in which a tall man with a long white robe, dazzling blue hair and a wicked smile that would scare children to sleep. "Rejoice, for you can and will be save", he announced holding up his hand. Instantly the crowd broke out in murmurs, "Oh great here come another one", "You know they only come all the way here because of the cult that used to live here that worships the same goddess", "Which church are they, The Chosen", "No you they are the other one".
Agrid was fuming, these commoners, no these presents dared to interrupt him, he glanced at Jagar and a wicked thought manifested itself inside his head.
With the voice proudly announcing that inside his head the world faded to black
….
While Talking Agrid noticed a commoner in old rags suddenly be consumed by black mist. No one in the crowd even acknowledge this thanks to the effects of
Agrid fell to the floor as the light faded from his eyes. Toba, who was kneeing in front of his corpse, got up and walked away, just as the villages came to screaming about the dead missionaries in the centre of town.

Far away in a land bathed in eternal darkness, an empty place where no creatures would dare tread twelve people have congregated in a dark room with one giant window at the front, around a table over the concerning message they received one day ago. "What does it mean Cien is dead" One of the people bellowed, "I means someone here must have killed her because nobody else has nearly enough strength to do the job." Retorted another shadowy figure from across the table. "Yeah, we control the Academy and made it the only place to learn magic and how to fight we would know if someone was able to kill us." The 3rd figure stated. "What about the Vampires". "no way those spineless bastards couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag, not after what we did to them" the second figure retorted. They all suspected each other but where too afraid of the repercussions of calling one another out. "Well, it doesn't matter now dose it", they all moved their attention to the head of the table and stared. "What done is done, and as far as the mortals are concerned, she is still very much alive I suggest, we keep it that way".
"And how will you do that",
"Simple a body double". He raised his hand and an elf emerged holding the chains of a girl that looked exactly like Cien. He got out of his seat and graceful walked towards her. Holding her face in his hands
Sometime had passed after the meeting and only two of the figures remain. "this world is changing; you can feel it". "Was it you", the other asked, "did you kill Cien". It looked at the other one "No but it had to be one of the others wanting more power".
"We have to find out who" He said moving his attention to the giant window overlooking the Badlands. "Indeed, did you hear the reports about a demon that terrorised a local village and massacred missionaries sent from the church". "Yeah, people are freaking out about it, but I don't see all the fuss monsters attack everyday". "Yes, you are probably right it is probably nothing, I'll forget about it for now". With that one of the figures disappeared into the darkness. He is right I am probably overthinking it he thought to himself, but Cien was like a sister to me, and if those people think I am just going to sit around and do nothing they are wrong. I will find the person who killed you and I will make sure they suffer that is a promise, with new conviction he called Benzi, his butler, who appeared out of nowhere. "I want you to investigate Cien's death". "But master- ", He began to protest until the figure raised his hand, "Yes this means investigating the others, I want you to do it quietly and discreetly, and you will only report to me no one else, no matter what they offer you, understand". Benzi nodded "As you wish" and teleported away. The figure smiled soon we will have are revenge, Cien. It turned his back to the window and walked away.
