He accepted our offer! I just received an email from his secretary that our offer was chosen out of a thousand Security Companies he chose us! I still can't believe it. I went out of my office and rushed to Felix's company. Everything is just so overwhelming, I mean who would've thought after everything that happened he choose NSC. That means mapapalapit na ako sa kanya, syempre we would work together. I do have other businesses pero may managers naman and I've working as the COO of our company ever since I went here so maybe I can ask dad to handle the company for the mean time. Dad's not that old yet so he can handle it. It's been 7 years! I need to work on our relationship, and the reason why I am so happy about everything nalaman ko mula sa Private Investigator ni dad na yung kasama nya sa last meeting namin ay half-sister nya!
Which reminds me about Walter's relationship with his dad, kamusta na kaya ang parents nya?
The last time I saw his mom was seven years ago, when he had a car accident. Galit pa kaya ang mommy nya sa akin? Well, sinong nanay naman ang hindi magagalit sa ginawa ko?
When I reached Felix's company, I parked my car and went inside his building. I heard some of his employees greeting me, and I just smiled at them. Almost all of his employees know me. After a month when Walter left, I realized how shitty I was, I realized my wrongdoings but wala na akong magawa nuon Walter was out of the country and I had no clue kung nasaan sya, I didn't know what country he went too. Felix and I reconciled after a year, he went to my condo with his stuff and a baby crying, he looked like a mess that time while I just healed, he asked for my help. He and I went through a lot together, I had troubles working at our company, while he had troubles taking care of his son, he lived in the condo beside mine. Rumors were spread about us. May nagsasabi na we were married at a young age, we were already living together, and many more pero we didn't do anything about it and remained silent Felix did his best to hide his son from the cruel world, with my help of course, until unti unting natahimik ang mga kasinungalingan tungkol sa amin. Tama nga ang sinabi nila nasa huli ang pagsisisi, I realized how stupid I was, I was immature back then, and looking back at all the things I did in the past, and looking at myself now have learned my lesson, and I want to make the future better, I couldn't turn back the time so ang gagawin ko ngayon ay bumawi kay Walter, I'll do it little by little. When I reached the floor of Felix's office I went inside immediately
"Jesus! Angelica! Have you ever heard of the word "knock" you scared the shit out of me" He was so shocked that some of the papers he was holding flew to the air down to the ground.
I laughed at his very OA reaction "You should lower down you caffeine intake"
I sat on the seat in front of his desk "So why are you here at this hour?" He fixed his self and gathered all the papers on the floor and arranged the again.
I smiled and spoke "I have great news!"
When he finished gathering all the papers that fell, he raised a brow and looked at me, sabay baba nya sa mga papeles na hawak nya at tinanggal ang salamin na gamit nya
"What news?"
"He accepted our offer!" He winced
"Ba't ka ba sigaw nang sigaw I am just in front of you, it's not like I'm on the other side of the building for you to shout and shout"
I rolled my eyes "Kaya ang tanda mo na lignin kasi palagi kang bad trip"
"Try raising a very intelligent son, lignin natin kung hindi ka ba mabaliw, having an intelligent son has a lot of pros, but he asks so many questions and he can outsmart me easily"
I laughed. Oo nga naman raising Santy is very hard, ofcourse alam ko we were together for years so alam ko kung gaano kahirap. It's very fun being with Santy, but the thing is when he gets interested with something he asks so many questions, and what Felix said was true, Santy can outsmart people easily. Kasalanan din naman nang lolo nya at ni Felix not only was Santy good at manipulating he's also good at guns ewan ko ba kay Felix ang bata pa ni Santy tinuturuan na kung paano gumamit nang barrel ang bata, he also taught his son self defense.
"Kasalanan mo din naman yan you taught him young, kaya ayan sumasakit ang ulo mo sa anak mo"
He rolled his eyes at me and sighed " he needs to learn those things, the world is very cruel, have you eaten lunch?"
Hindi na ako nakasagot when my stomach grumbled
"Well I take that as a yes, let's go eat I'm craving for pasta"
He stood up from his seat and stretched, he took his coat off as well.
"Let's go"
We went out of his office together and went to the basement. We took his car and he drove to the restaurant where we always eat. It was a short drive since malapit lang sa company nya ang restaurant na yun. I looked outside and seeing the same old busy Manila streets it was somehow amazing, a lot of things changed ever since I came back here, a lot of things changed mas dumami ang naglalakihang buildings, shops, it was like New York just smaller people were always busy. It's amazing how Manila changed a lot in just a few years.
He parked his car at the parking lot of the restaurant and we went out together. Finally I can eat it was already 1 in the afternoon and it was past my lunch time. We went inside the restaurant and found a table.
"What do you wanna eat? My treat" my eyes sparkled when I heard what he said I ordered Carbonara and Pizza, while he ordered Bavette.
"I still can't believe that he accepted our offer" it was true I mean he hates Felix's guts and I doubt if he wants to see me at all.
"Of course he would, no matter how much he hates my guts and he probably doesn't wanna see you too because of what he did, he lowered his pride for the sake of his business. You see if you're in the damn business world you gotta lower down all that pride of yours. We are the best out of all those companies, so he probably decided to swallow all of his pride"
I couldn't speak it was true, what Felix said just now is so damn accurate. I kept silent 'till our order came, we both ate in silence. Of course he hated my guts, who wouldn't? Right?
Okay Angelica, stop thinking about Walter for a bit. Just eat in peace.
Yan ang ginawa ni Angelica she and Felix ate in peace without minding their surroundings. When they finished eating, they went out of the place bago pa man sila makapasok sa sasakyan ni Felix, Angelica received a call from Walter's secretary. Angelica signaled Felix to go inside first, she took the call.
"Hello, Good Afternoon"
(Good afternoon too Ms. Gonzales, Sir Walter wanted me to call you that he wants you in Batangas ASAP. He wanted to tackle about the security system and where to place it he also ordered a couple of things from Gonzales Corp. and according to him your father Sir Gonzales wants you to handle it. You'll be staying their for 5- 6 days Ms. Gonzales. He wants you there by 3 in the afternoon)
"Wait. What-
Walter's secretary ended the call before she could even respond.
"How the hell would I arrive their at 3 it's almost 2 and I still need to pack!"
I went inside Felix's car and banged his door
"Angelica, don't bang the door please. What is your problem?"
I inhaled and exhaled a few times before answering Felix.
"Walter wants me in Batangas ASAP, not only will I be their for Nostra Security System but for Gonzales Corp. as well according to his secretary dad told him that I'll be handling everything they need! How am I supposed to be their at 3? I need to pack my stuff and take not I'll be their for 6 damn days!"
Felix's mouth was open. He was too stunned to speak. He didn't speak, but he drove fast. Ewan ko kung ano ang dapat kong maramdaman.
Just why would he want me to go to Batangas ASAP?!
I called dad, I didn't even know na he told that to Walter. I had no idea!
(Yes, Anak?)
"DAD! Why did you tell Walter na ako ang magha-handle sa mga inorder nila? Dad hindi engineering at architecture kinuha ko Business Management Dad, Business Management"
(Oh akala ko bah na gusto mong mapalapit sa kanya? I just made a way)
"Dad he wants me in Batangas ASAP like right now! It's almost 2 tapos he wants me there by 3"
(Galit sya sa'yo kaya panindigan mo yan. Good Luck Daughter)
I didn't even get to answer him, he ended the call.
What is up with people? Hindi pa nga ako nakakasagot.
