"Kail!"
"Mother!"
Desmond instantly became heartbroken as he fell to his knees next to his mother.
'Why did she take the shot for Tama?'
Desmond kept asking himself over and over again. She was not breathing, which made Desmond more regretful on attacking Tama back.
Desmond's eyes became teary.
'Mother! It was not my fault!'
He begged inwardly.
'I . . . swear . . . I swear I did not mean to!'
He said in his mind, as if she could hear him, while his hand reached out for her face, to cup it, hoping she would at least show some sign if life.
"Kail!" Tama called outlound, but very
softly, as he too was on his knees at her seemingly lifeless body.
His breath sounded of brokenness.
'Why did you take the shot?'
He asked, cursing himself inwardly.
' I should have listened to you! I never started the fight.'
He sobbed, bitterly, as he condemned himself in his mind.
