The atmosphere suddenly felt darker. Her head had stopped throbbing. She shot her eyes open and rose up, searching around. 'Had the beast eaten Pearl?'
She searched for Pearl and luckily she found her. Fortunately, she was waking up. Princess bent down to help her up. She touched her head wondering what was causing the pain while Princess was just being nice. Princess searched around for the beast but they seemed to be behind a compartment of which its entrance was covered by a dark curtain. Princess tried to help Pearl balance when someone screamed.
"That's...", Princess reasoned,"... Ruby's voice?"
Pearl wasn't thinking straight when she pulled away the curtain with her hand to see what was going on, Princess right behind her. Her eyes widened in surprise when she saw the one who sreamed dead. Desdemona was now heading towards Rose. Pearl immediately came to her senses.
"Rose?" She whispered and made an attempt to run towards them.
