... MEANWHILE, IN THE JUNGLE...
Pearl was stunned as to what just happened. This all seemed to her like a dream. No, a nightmare and she's living it.
"Well done Pearl." A voice drew her back from her shock.
She spun around and was welcomed by an indescribably beautiful female. She was beyond words. Pearl wondered how such an incredibly looking female could exist. Yet, she couldn't get distracted. She was confused on where she was, why she was here, why she almost got killed and whether she was the one always whispering to her.
"Who are you...and...where am I?" She butted in, looking around in fear.
"I...am someone you don't need to know. The lesser you know about me, the better." The beauty said.
Pearl could only throw her an expression of perplexion and unbelief.
"You're here...", she furthered, answering her second question,"... because you just stole the dark princess's gem."
Pearl couldn't believe her ears. She threw a strong glance at the gem in her hand, raising it up to get a better look of it. She swallowed hard, hoping she hadn't failed her first task or chosen the wrong one.
The beautiful woman could see her fear rising.
"Your worried about Demona, aren't you?"
Not hesitating, she threw another sharp glance at the woman. For a moment, hope seemed to fill her heart. Perhaps this women knows something about this strange man that could help her. Perhaps she did, perhaps she didn't.
"And what do you know about him?"
"You seemed so interested to know your master?"
'Master?'
"He is not my master." She corrected in annoyance and the heavens thundered, causing the earth to tremble and she trembled with it. The woman stood there, not reacting as if she hadn't experienced the same thing.
"You better watch your tongue little one. You don't know what it can get you into."
Her voice was calm but it sent the warning.
Pearl needed to know more about what's she into. She couldn't just let such an opportunity pass by without her learning something new about this game Demona seems to be playing.
"What about...this?" She asked, showing her the name on her arm.
A frown appeared on the woman's fragile face. Speedily, she appeared infront of her, crossing the short distance between them, grabbing her arm to get a better look at what was imprinted on her arm. She seemed to be examining the name with disbelief.
"How did this name get on your arm?"
She questioned authoritatively.
" I saw it after I took the stone."
Pearl replied with curiosity.
Her eyes widened at my words.
'What does all this mean? What's so special about this stone and this name?'
When she replied, for a moment, i thought she could read my thoughts.
"Then Pearl, your life is great danger."
She pulled her arm away from her grip, stepping away from her slowly. Her expression became stoic as she looked away.
"Heard that before",was all she said.
The woman was surprised
"So you know your life is danger."
She nodded to respond.
"Then, I believe you don't know the gravity of how much danger you are in."
"What do you want from me, woman?"
Pearl attached, getting annoyed by the fact that this lady is trying to aggravate her fears.
'Maybe she's not on my side. What the devil does she want anyway?"
"I need you alive, Pearl."
"What use is my life when I'm already destined to die?"
Her words struck the strange woman.
"And who told you, you are destined to die?"
The woman asked, raising a brow, realising this innocent girl knows nothing about the prophecy.
In confusion, Pearl asked;
"What are you talking about?"
The lady giggled softly. Pearl wondered what was hilarious in her question.
"You, my dear, are here to awaken the light in a young man that will destroy darkness."
A smile snuck its way on her gorgeous face, making her look extravagant. Pearl wasn't following at all. You could tell by her facial expression.
"How about I tell you a story?"
The lady asked. Giving no time for Pearl to reply, she butted in;
"Or show you a story?"
And then, she played around with her hands and pixy dusts began escaping from the ground until it surrounded them. Pearl watched in amazement but then another question popped in her head.
'Is this woman a witch or a demon?'
