*Drip* *Drip* It was dark and damp, water dripped down every now and then and the atmosphere was eerie. On the floor Jiang Hao was sitting cross-legged to recover his qi from his little engagement with the spider.
A few minutes ago Jiang Hao was running branch to branch to get away from the spider which somehow managed to keep finding him. Out of a stroke of luck he found a small hole and dived into it which turned out to be a cave. Since then he has been sitting waiting for the spider to leave and to replenish his qi.
"Well then that wasn't very fun now was it." Jiang Hao started to Mumble to himself as he looked around. "Well he isn't going away anytime soon so might as well look for another exit." Jiang Hao looked up to see the red eyes of the spider staring at him while it attacked the small hole. Standing up he continued down the cave to explore.
He was kinda able to see in the dark thanks to his high Cultivation but it wasn't very clear. What he assumed as a cave was very long he was walking for a few kilometers and was sure he was probably very far from the fight as he couldn't hear anything else and that he was very deep underground. The odd thing about this cave however was that it was only 1 tunnel but sometimes it would loop around into itself and go in a different direction.
Jiang Hao slowly started to realize something was wrong with this cave and became very vigilant. Each and every second felt like years to him and each step felt like dozen of kilometers. Soon a hour passed and he hasn't found anything. He slowly relaxes his guard but still was always ready to dodge at any second. "Is their really nothing down here?" Jiang Hao was starting to think nothing was able to be a threat to him here and was ready to head back.
When Jiang Hao stopped speaking he felt a very tiny vibration. He stopped, lowering himself to the floor he put his ear there. Very clearly he heard something getting louder and louder. "What the hell is that, whatever it is I'm not sticking around to find out." Jiang Hao ran full speed back to where he came. The sounds weren't getting quieter though only louder. The thing was getting closer and closer.
"What the hell is this and why is it so fast?" Jiang Hao was fast in his own right able to run a kilometer in a few seconds but what ever this was is much faster. Lucky he wasn't to far as he walked the whole way their so running was much shorter. He soon saw the light from the small hole he would reach it in a few seconds but when he looked behind him he saw a giant mouth filled with rotating teeth.
"T-that explains the cave I guess." Jiang Hao stammered and felt scared out of his mind. Speeding up ever so slightly he jumped out of the hole only to see a spider still waiting on the tree. Noticing it's prey had returned it wanted to pounce but instead it shrunk back and ran away.
Jiang Hao was surprised and very happy he didn't have to deal with the spider anymore. Sadly that didn't last long as he realized something. "If this spider I could barley defend against was running doesn't that mean something that not even it would be able to defend against wa-." He didn't Even finish his sentence before he cut himself off and started to sweat.
"Well fuck I'm screwed." The hole bursted apart and it it's place a giant head was there. "A fucking centipede?" Jiang Hao felt upset and irritated that he was running from a centipede something he used to be able to crush with a single hand. He almost let his pride get the best of him and not run away. "Wait it may be a centipede but this centipede is able to kill my ass." Not wasting more time he dashed into the forest and jumped into a branch praying it won't be able to climb or anything. Surprisingly it just looked at him as he ran. "Can it not climb or is it letting me go?"
'YOU WANT TO RUN?' A booming voice sounded in Jiang Hao's head almost causing him to fall. "Eh..." Jiang Hao started to cry. 'It has sentience' The centipede started to dash at higher speeds that. Jiang Hao but instead of climbing it smashed through the trees. "Just go away and leave me alone you damn tier 5 bug!" Jiang Hao screamed at the top of his lungs as he ran.
Monsters beast are much stronger than normal animals. Tier 1 as strong as sky realm Cultivator's. tier 2 heavens realm tier 3 spirit realm. tier 4 Divine spirit realm, while at tier 5 they get sentience and are as strong as divine king realms while tier 6 they are able to speak and are as strong as divine Sovereigns.
Jiang Hao had visible tears on his face and this clothes were soaked in sweat he was basically what someone who just had a breakup and got splashed by a car speeding over a puddle would looked like. He was using falling trees to stay ahead of. the centipede but when it realized what he was doing he dived underground. Every now and then he would appear again like a shark with its mouth open coming to swallow you whole.
So far he was doing pretty horrible but was managing. Well that was until the realized where he was heading. It was the meet up area, by the time he realized it was too late and they were insight of not the centipede and Jiang Hao. He didn't even know what to do but did the only thing he knew.
"WATCH OUT!"
